A lovely place to hold a wedding or party. This is a well equipped hall with lots of grounds. It also has a PGA golf club. Definitely worth a look for a beautiful wedding venue.

Disappointing Experience at Brockett Hall
I was invited to play a round of golf at Brockett Hall, a venue I?d long been curious about given its rich and colourful history?particularly the tales of Charlie Brockett and his Ferraris ending up in the lake. With that backstory, and the allure of the Palmerston course, I arrived full of anticipation. Sadly, the experience was underwhelming from start to finish.
From the moment we arrived, things started going downhill. Signage directed us to a drop-off area where I expected some kind of welcome or assistance. Instead, we were met by staff who appeared more interested in smoking than helping. When I asked where the clubhouse was or how to access our golf cart, the response was vague and unhelpful??somewhere around the corner.? Not a great first impression.
The clubhouse and pro shop were surprisingly small and lacked the service you?d expect from a venue of this supposed calibre. Staff seemed disinterested, and it felt like we were inconveniencing them just by turning up.
On the course, the only bright spot was the starter?friendly, warm, and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, the course itself didn?t live up to expectations. The Palmerston felt tired and poorly maintained. Paths were scruffy, the fairways lacked care, and the overall upkeep of the grounds was disappointing.
For the price being charged, there are far better options locally?courses that are in better condition, offer a more enjoyable round, and provide far greater value. It?s a shame, because Brockett Hall clearly has the potential to be special. Right now, though, it?s falling far short. I can?t help but think Charlie Brockett would be dismayed at the current state of his former home.

Disgusting service and absolutely no regard for customers.

This hotel was an awful experience, I had insects flying on me whilst I was in bed, no sleep, then I realised the insects were coming in from outside as the large sash window had been left open prior to my arrival and during my stay. I had not realised as they were covered by a voile and I arrived in the dark. This is not safe as it was a ground floor room easily accessible to anyone at street level. I informed reception at 7am and got an unsympathetic unhelpful response. I have contacted staff multiple times and been ignored completely. Avoid this hotel, it is filthy and dusty and there is no customer service process, they clearly do not value customers.

Horrible experience at this hotel, the room was full of insects which flew on me in the middle of the night, the window had been left wide open to street level meaning the room had been left insecure and accessible by anyone. The hotel have just ignored my complaint and the customer service has been awful.

Brocket Hall has 2 fabulous golf courses. Well maintained, very pretty. However absolutely crammed . Obligatory 4 balls made the course slower , we waited every hole. No keeper on the course to speed things up . Walkers off the path walking across the fairway, cyclists cutting across in front of the tee box ? disaster. The restaurant which wasn?t busy was slow. No idea where the staff were . Had to fetch menus and then go back to the bar to order. Food, dirty plates and glasses on a number of empty tables, crows everywhere picking at the left over food. Menu limited. Food arrived , no cutlery. The club is under new management but it seems to have dropped in standards further. Disappointing .

I was really looking forward to the afternoon tea at Brocket Hall this mothering Sunday. But what a total disappointment! The selection of sandwiches was boring but most of all the bread was extremely dry, making me think that they were not made on the day. The selection of cakes was really disappointing too for such an establishment, again dry roulade, deflated choux. At that price, I expect perfection that matches the amazing surroundings! I came all the way from Cambridge with my family for that, and for an hefty price of £260!
