Up to the point of placing an order for a new kitchen, very good service. But as soon as I paid the deposit, everything went quiet. Emails were ignored. 2 scheduled start dates for installation came and went. 6 months after I had paid my deposit, I was no closer to having a new kitchen. Needless to say I cancelled the order!

I wanted to say a big \\\"Thank you\\\" to William who helped us to sort and lift 25 heavy boxes of tiles for us at the weekend. He was kind enough to help us immensely inside the store and to lift them into the truck for us too. This sort of customer service goes a long way, thank you and we'll be back.

Not too sure now that you could build a house at wicks is true anymore, as the old advert used to say, but a good selection of what ever you may need. Price wise everything has gone up everywhere so still competitively priced.

Visited my local store in Hertford, staff awful, extremely unhelpful and abrupt, that?s if you can actually find someone to help you. No knowledge of products. This was my experience on my last two recent visits there. Second visit I simply left the store and drove to The Harlow branch, like chalk and cheese, couldn?t be more helpful at Harlow, took me straight to what I needed and gave advice. Won?t be venturing into Hertford store again for such a poor shopping experience. I put it down to how it is led and staff training.

Only giving 1 star as I can't leave none.....I'm used to wickes never having what I want in hertford, in fact I always laugh before going in as I know they ain't got it...But today was different they had the drill I wanted...hallelujah!!!!Got to the counter...asked for the drill and was told no!! You can't have one because it is in the cupboard...well I thought I was being really helpfullWhen I suggested getting it out of the cupboard so I can buy it...again was told no...I can't leave the counter....had to leave without it...So to Mr wickes I say to train your staff to realise that when you have a shop and want to sell stuff...I the customer will come in with money and you the shop will sell me the product just because that's how it works....I have shopped in wickes for years...I am a trade customer....or was...I will never again set foot in your hertford store again...SHOCKING !!

As usual long queue at check out with no staff attending. Takes longer to shop in wickes than to do most jobs.

Most of the staff here are not really that friendly, there's always a reason why ( and usually not a very good reason if I'm honest) they seldom have what you want not in stock!! There's usually only 1 poor sod stuck on the till and a queue a mile long. Find a bigger Wickes and try your luck there.

The store is very clean and well spaced and has a lot to choose from. There are dividers for safety at the tills and you have to wear a mask. I felt very safe. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I couldn't find the colour paint I wanted and a guy mixed some up for me. He was smiling and very approachable.

Unfortunately couldn't accept returns, because they didn't want to look on their system to find order number. Has never been a problem before. Even the assistant manager couldn't help. The order number was easily found once I was on my computer.
