The only food shop in the whole of Hertford which dosnt allow dogs. Very rude staff. They were more than happy to turn away a paying customer and lose a sale as they completely refused to serve me. I took my custom to one of the dozens of dog friendly shops on the same street. Greggs is clearly not business savvy in a town known for being dog friendly, it will have a detrimental effect on sales.

Been here a number of times when in the area. This time service was slow but I understand that there was a staff shortage. Can't complain because 9 times out of 10 great service.

Extremely grubby tables, the floors are also really dirty. Needs a good clean and a refurb. They must make a good profit as it's always busy so no excuse. The state of the shop is not good for the customers using this place. Head office need to address this issue . The staff are friendly.

On a Friday I often treat myself to a bacon and sausage roll. There are a number of options in Hertford and occasionally I got to Greggs. However, on the last three times I have been there, when I'm asked if I'd like any sauce, I always ask for Brown sauce as I don't particularly like tomato sauces. I take it back to the office to eat, and it's then I notice they've used tomato sauce. In the scheme of things it's not a big issue, however it is frustrating that despite asking the question, they don't appear to actually listen to the answer, and robotically reach for the tomato sauce. I will of course check in future, but it would be nice if the person asking the question could actually try to remember the answer for the 30 seconds it takes to prepare!

The best sausage rolls in the town. My daughter loves it. Very friendly, but professional staff. We are always welcome with a smile and "How are you?". Our place for morning coffee.?
