We have just been to wicks Hemel Hempstead to buy some bark chippings just want to praise the very helpful staff who work there the guy on the till was very helpful and friendly I have copd and me and my wife brought six bags and the young guy who was replenishing the stock outside loaded my car got me as he could see I was struggling thank you so much for your help so kind and helpful great staff in this store 20 out of 10 all day cheers to you all many thanks Andy

My go to hardware store in Hemel, staff are really friendly. Went in once as I had a water leak and one of the blokes in there was so helpful in recommending what he would get for it!

Unfortunately, despite two attempts to contact two different young representatives, I was ignored twice. Neither of them was able to help me find the small product I was looking for. They mumbled something under their breath, pointed in a general direction, and unfortunately, that was the extent of the assistance I received.

I went into the store today to buy a wardrobe pole and fixings. After finding what I needed I politely asked what i would need to cut the pole as it is thick metal. The male employee then said what i would need but I didn?t hear so I asked politely what he said he then laughed because he thought I didn?t know what it was. He said in a very patronising way laughing why I didn?t know what a hack saw was ( which I do) I just didn?t hear him. I then queued for the female employees till to avoid the man and while he still had people to serve behind me he came over to my till and laughed again and repeated to people around what had happened . This was a very uncomfortable experience and for 2024 to imply women can?t fix up a simple pole with a few tools is stupid.

It is a standard Wickes store.Good range of products and sufficient parking.Sometimes staff are busy doing other things and end up with queue at checkout.
