Product is good but delivery is shambolic. Placed two orders now and both have been chaotic, given the delivery charge was £200 each time! No automated email/text etc to say it?s even been dispatched or to say which day the orders will arrive. Couriers just turn up whenever and expect someone to be in to help them unload it.When you speak to the office they don?t know which company will even be delivering it (as presumably they outsource the logistics) so yes - alas very stressful if you?re not someone who?s at home/on site 24/7.

Only reviewing on phone call experience. Lady was quite abrupt to assume I was trying to barter online prices down, when only wanted clarity on VAT and delivery. Maybe just an off day, it is Friday

Mixed feelings. Yards staff is professional and extremely helpful.Pricing of cutting their own material is just ridicilously expensive in my opinion.Office has no response to queries such as quality issues.Ended up re-purchase 20% of materials from somewhere else and I think the quality of the wood not as it was stated.Also communication is poor, I had to wait extensive time and follow up myself an online order as there was no communication about the delive after payment whatsoever.

Pre ordered some sheet timber from here. Although it was picked and ready to go on the van, nobody seemed to know anything about it and couldn?t find the paperwork. Took about 15 mins to find paperwork and 2 mins to put on the van. Not best organised!

Products ok, delivery service slow to the trade. Better off collecting. Will never order for delivery again unless I need two weeks later.

Having looked at the Firewood for sale at B&Q and Wickes I found Chiltern Timber's Website. Placed a small order for 20x194 PAR and picked it up on Saturday. Superb quality timber, very straight, lovely edges. Will be back.

Prices on the website are misleading as they do not include VAT. VAT is added on the top of the advertised price when you add an item to the basket. Is that legal at all?

One of the few greater London timber yards holding stock of landscaping timber. decent prices for the M25 radius. I order online & add instructions in the notes. Collection is always ready on time. Warehouse is easy to get to. Issues are dealt with quickly. Thumbs up :-)
