Didn’t eat here just had some expensive crisps but the pint was great, the garden immaculate and a characterful feel about the place. Clean loo. Sheep skin on outdoor benches is nice touch.
A beautiful pub close to Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead. With a great selection of European wines available by the glass and the bottle. Local ales and beers plus a fantastic range of spirits selection.
Plus, and it is a big one, a food offer that has seen the Alford Arms be named best Dining Pub in Hertfordshire seven times in the last ten years - most recently in just 2021.
Our menu changes weekly and we cater to every type of dietary requirement with a separate allergen menu available to reassure even the most concerned of diners.
Tables can be booked online but all tables in the bar are available for walk-in guests!
Quite simply the Alford Arms is a country pub, with a welcome as warm as the fire in the bar.
