The disgusting and cruel practice of hunting animals is embraced by Hatfield House. Where they allow hints to occur every year.

I find it absurd that Vegan Market Co are hosting their market here in April! A place that allows the shooting of animals for a laugh. Its also a place where the Cambridge & Enfield Hunt have free roam to chase foxes with dogs and cheer with glee as they're ripped to shreds! They'd have done better hosting it at the local slaughterhouse!

I recently visited Hatfield House and Gardens, a captivating private-run estate that seamlessly blends history and natural beauty. The meticulously maintained gardens provided a picturesque backdrop to the stunning historic house. The private touch added a sense of exclusivity, making the experience truly special. To top it off, the lovely on-site cafe offered a delightful culinary experience, making my visit to Hatfield House a perfect day of cultural exploration and relaxation.

The Christmas revels is not worth the money. If it was half the price it would just about be worth it. There is basically a few statues lit up which is nice but not enough staff to create a fun atmosphere, is a let down. No choir singing no craft market. Limited to pizza and waffles for food or the expensive restaurant. I wish I had not wasted my money, will never trust hatfield house again. Dermot gave us a tour of the old palace and that was the only good thing about the evening, however you can do these tours all summer for £6 each.

Visited the Christmas Revels experience. It was very nicely done, but so little of it. Even at a leisurely pace, 30mins covered the event.£90+ for 3 adults and a car, poor value.

Worst Christmas light show I have been in my life

We attended the fantastical Christmas event and it was very very disappointing. It was quite expensive for the tickets and it did not include parking but no one was in the car park so don?t bother paying for it !There were no signs telling you where to go, so eventually we find the ticket booth which you get a map etc from. You then walk back up to the house where you have to wait for someone to open the door. You?re then greeted by Queen Elizabeth 1st (who was great) who shows you a couple of statues and then shows you in to the kitchen where there?s some plastic food to look at. Once you?ve finished in the kitchen which is maybe 10 mins you go back outside where there?s a fool (jester) with a couple of games. The whole experience took about 20 mins to half an hour at the most and was very disappointing. You don?t get to loom round the house or any of the gardens. There was barely any food vendors and no craft stalls, music or any sort of ambiance. The staff and actors were all very friendly and enthusiastic but it was just such a shame that the experience was rubbish.

Fantastic Christmas Revels- terrible experience! Fantastic Rip Off more like. At a cost of over £100 for a family with 2 teenagers, we were so disappointed. There is virtually nothing to see and the entire experience was finished in 15 mins. Shame on Hatfield House for putting their name to such a money grabbing event: let's not forget the parking charge even though the parking is free.

Fantastical Christmas Revels experience was terrible. Absolute con. It was a couple of actors pretending to be from Tudor times in cheap costume store outfits (and wearing modern hiking shoes ?) and some statues with speakers playing sound effects. Lasted 10 minutes. The advertising was beautiful - gorgeous illustrations advertising an immersive experience with a tour, a feast, and musicians. It could not have been more deceptive. It?s nothing more than a money grabbing scheme trying to con families looking to create some magical Christmas memories - but they won?t find them here!!

Very disappointing "Christmas" Revels. Nothing festive about it. A few strange looking statues with animal heads and a look around a kitchen. No christmas stalls or decorations.Food inside was just as bad, tasteless and overpriced. If you are thinking of buying tickets, seriously don't bother.

Every Christmas we do a family Santa train or Lights event. This year, we thought Hatfield House would be a good local event to help us get in the Christmas spirit. It didn't.Small unlit signage.Staff couldn't clearly direct us where we had to go.Some lights not working, so we were dazzled by led halogen white light.Possible plus side:It is an opportunity to see beautifully decorated mannequins outside illuminated by harsh halogen led lamps.

Attended Christmas Revels tonight it was hugely disappointing for such a high ticket price. A quick walk around the kitchens, then a few (literally) things to look at which really were not that great and back out to the deserted courtyard with a couple food vans. We paid nearly 100.00 for 3 of us to walk round in about 20 minutes.

A wonderful family home which is also a historic house, some filming location.Lovely gardens, large deer, woodland park. The family has royal, government connections going back to Elizabeth I right up to the present day.Over the years the house, grounds has been used a location for various productions (lookout for ITV's Miss Marple Secret of the chimneys). Seeing the house, cafe and shops in former stables etc for yourself. So please check the website before you go. At certain times of the year the house, gardens are closed to the public. But the park may still be open to the public most of the year.

To say that I am disappointed in the fantastical Christmas revels is an understatement, 1x star does not do it justice . It is a complete rip off. We paid £150 for 5x adults with parking, for what was basically a 15 min walk around the small garden... Oh and a look at the old kitchen. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AVOID AT ALL COST..... We booked this because the light show around the woods last year was amazing and expected the same... Seriously p#££Ed off.. ??...
