have become a regular to the store, collecting quickly becomes addictive. Eric is helpful and has a good selection of cards and comics, i was lucky to find the exact packs i wanted.

Regularly visit here with my son for pokemon cards. Place is always full of people and tables buzzing. The owner Eric know his stuff and has patience as my son can take a while to decide. Special shout out to the community in there when we pulled groudon and didn't have any sleeves, some kind hearted lad gave us some of his. Would highly recommend

Really amazing experience first time wanted to buy some Pokémon packs and other things and the person who served me was very kind to explain things and help me pick out some good things will definitely go again great place!

Contrarily, I have been to this store and experienced a completely different, disappointing, and frustrating encounter. Unfortunately, the staff member whom I approached seemed always irritable and gruff, which made me feel unwanted and uneasy right from the beginning. Even more surprising is the fact that beneath this gruff exterior, I found myself being treated with a level of rudeness that was quite shocking given the store's supposed commitment to customer service.
That was about a pre-order that I had forgotten existed. I can understand how this kind of oversight might happen; however, this guy treated me like the wrong end of the stick over a minor issue because he failed at being patient or helpful. That made me feel like I am at fault, which clearly must have been a very honest kind of an error on my side.
I am a customer who would expect at least dignity and empathy regarding an issue that was not my mistake. Unfortunately, this particular staff person did not meet my expectations in the least. The way this person acted was very unprofessional, and even hurtful-it made me feel belittled and disrespected.
More disappointing, however, is the fact that this was pretty much a polar opposite from my previous experience at Chaos City Comics in St. Albans, where I had the most awesome customer service in a comic book store. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable, going out of their way to ensure that I had a good time. As clear as daylight: this store is a long shot from competing on a level with Chaos City Comics when it comes to customer service.
From this experience onward, I would not recommend this store to anyone. The lack of respect and professionalism on the part of the member of staff I interacted with was utterly unacceptable, and I will not patronize this store again.

Great little community comic shop. It's located in an open square. The area it's located in feels like a step back in time! The shop itself has many comics and a decent selection of Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, and Yu-Gi-Oh card packs. Host different card game tournaments at the back of the store and they also stock stuff like Funko Pops.No food or drink sold, so bring your own water. I played during a very hot day and the store has no air conditioning, so bring a portable fan or cooler if coming to play a card game tournament for a few hours.Lovely store and friendly staff and locals. I will come again.

A very well established outlet- Calamity Comics has been going for at least 30 years. Since it's beginnings in pretty much a cupboard down a back alley in Harrow ( the subject of myth and legend in my school days) it's consistently been one of the best comic book stores in London and now Hatfield.
knowledgeable staff, great prices and a huge stock of imports, graphic novels and games - well worth a visit, highly recommended !!
