Long queues on a Sunday afternoon waiting to do self- check out at the Harpenden store. Only wanted to purchase one item, so left. Please reinstall more checkouts as it is not helpful to shoppers who are not trained shop assistants and bring back customer service.

Am happy with staff and stock at this Waitrose, but the WiFi is horrible, meaning it makes the experience of using the Waitrose or John Lewis apps impossible, and subsequently make loyal customers unable to use their coupons/vouchers earned.
This makes it impossible for anyone with or without a phone, to get the value they deserve.

Great selection of high quality groceries mixed with the lower priced Waitrose own products. The free coffee for Waitrose member works easily simply by swiping the membership card. Don't forget to bring your own cup. Free parking is extra bonus and good selection of food items at the cafeteria

Don't bother ordering anything from here on Uber Eats. They'll take an hour and a half to actually do anything, then lie and say they couldn't find any of the items you're looking for.

Nice enough store.Quite busy at the time of visiting. 2pm.Waited patiently in line for over 15 minutes for ONE item... happens to be a monster energy drink, I'm in my 30s bearded and id say there is very little chance of me looking like someone too young to buy such a thing... I buy them all the time and have a nice collection at home... regardless... I had been out drinking the night before, all I wanted was a pick me up... after that to be told do I have ID... nope its 2023 all I have is my keys and phone. That's all I need. Frustrated is an understatement. I apologise to the lady on the till serving as I did swear a bit on my way out... however I feel I should not have been asked for ID and refused the purchase.To summarise, I am not going back. 1st and last visit to this particular store. Strange layout too, but that's another story.

Great place to shop although sell by dates often aren't great. Excellent selection and always realllly friendly and helpful shop floor staff. Easy parking
