The lady working there is unfortunately very rude and could not care less about your enquiry. Sorry to say, I always give people a chance. But every single time we go there it?s awful. Money gram service - no , parcel collection - no. The customer service agent has a coffee mug on the front desk that says ?if I look like I am bothered I?m not? - tells you everything you need to know about what you will experience there! I also work in customer service and know it?s not hard to smile and be helpful. The manager of the post office really needs to look at this place. I will go to any other post office to avoid using this one.

All the staff are absolutely wonderful, Being from harpenden I will be the first to admit that we can be a little unforgiving as a town, and I've often witnessed staff being wrongly accused of being rude, I've been coming to this post office for many years and I have nothing but upmost respect and admiration for the post office staff. There is a particular negative review I've recently seen, I think that person should feel ashamed of themselves for the insults used. Thank you for all you've done in recent times, thank you for your big smiles and efficient service. You deserve more praise xxxxx

I have just been into Harpenden Post Office/ WH Smith. I wanted to collect a parcel that should have been delivered to my home. The woman behind the counter asked for ID. I had left the house in a hurry and I had forgotten to bring some. I showed her my bank card but I had forgotten that it had my maiden name on it and the parcel had my married name. The woman was so rude and patronising I was quite shocked. When I asked her to stop being so rude and patronising, since I was dealing with a bereavement and wasn?t quite on the ball, she just shrugged and said,?I?m sorry you feel that way,? She was so rude and bad mannered. No condolences and really did not give a xxxxxx. Not what I would expect from Royal Mail staff and I live in London. Very aggressive and rough. I?d fire her if she worked for me. She needs training. Short hair, glasses and over weight. Avoid.

Wasted an hour and fuel as its closed so did at least 4 other customers in the minute I spent parking and checking the front door, would have stayed home otherwise, online hours were not adjusted. Lots of people made unnecessary trips. I've updated the times. Literally a customer every 10 seconds confused by this.

Royal Mail at it's finest... received text message on friday to say that my parcel would be delivery monday. then received another on saturday to say that my parcel would be delivered same day (saturday). The latter would have been fine, however as i chose my work address no one was going to be in...then i received a message stating that a "while you were out card was left", and that the parcel would be ready to collect from my nominated collection point (harpenden post office). All fine so far as i would be able to walk down in my lunch hour on monday to collect said parcel. However, on arrival to work on monday there was no "while you were out card", so decided to chance my arm and go to the post office to collect as the RM website said that the parcel was ready at least. When i got there i was confronted by a lady who was rude and less than helpful. She gave a very cursory glance and came back to say that there was no parcel to collect... so mystery of the parcel that never was!!! I have since gone back to the place where i ordered the product from, but P/O Harpenden you need to sort out your Customer services!!
