First time at the Viceroy - nice welcome on arrival with plenty of tables available (8pm on a Weds evening). Friendly staff throughout, food was excellent - really good portions so some take away for tomorrow?s lunch. Good veggie choices (Paneer Shashlik was lovely). Complementary drink after the meal. Bill was £35 pp for popadoms, starter, main and sides, including drinks (and tip) so not bad at all. Highly recommended and would certainly visit again when in the area!

A Cut Above The Rest.
My friend and I went here on a Monday night. There were a few tables in use, a good sign, especially when the other Indian just down the road was empty.
The restaurant looks freshly devorated with spotkess table cloths and napkins and a soothing ambiance.
There was background music at just the right volume, there but not intrisive.
I ordered the Murgi Masala and a garlic keema chili naan plus a 350ml can of Cobra Zero.
My friend had the Garlic, chilli, chicken tikka masala and mushroom rice plus a pint of Kingfisher.
The food arrived after just the right amount of time. Not so long that it was just warmed up and served or so long they weren't prepared for diverse choices.
It was clearly freshly cooked and delicious. Mine was slightly spicier than expected so I had to cool it off with another Cobra Zero.
An excellent meal and including a 20% tip as the waiter was so good our total outgoing was under £45.

Buntingford Hall Of Fame - This restaurant is a vibrant, welcoming Curry House with some of the best service and food going. Been coming here since I was 14, and 15 years on it is the only curry I crave. You NEED to try their food - dine in and relax!

This place used to be great .the food now taste old . The meat is old and dry . Cheap cuts of meat... Going down hill it used to be great... To the owner.. please get good meat as people in buntingford are talking about how bad the food is getting .

I ate here last night with a friend. Table booked for 7pm, we arrived around 5 to 7.
We were greeted with a warm welcome from the staff, seated immediately, given our menus and a few minutes to choose our drinks. The drinks arrived a couple of minutes afterwards along with poppadoms, dips and chutneys.
Around 10 minutes after browsing the menus our orders were taken and the starters arrived roughly 15 minutes after that. We both had the mixed kebab which came out on a sizzler plate cooked to perfection, well seasoned and full of flavour.

As you can see, we both enjoy our food. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the food whatsoever, and again all was cooked perfectly and beautifully flavoured!
Overall, a very pleasant and tasty meal at The Viceroy. And contrary to other reviews on here and elsewhere on the Internet, the service was top notch. The staff were well presented, friendly and even came over to chat to us about our beards. The space between ordering eating and the next course was spot on. They also made sure we were good for drinks when they were getting low.
The price was also very surprising - I was expecting a bill of £100-120 with the amount of food we had. But in total it was just under £85!
To the staff that were on duty on the eve of 8/11/24 you are a credit to the business and should be extremely proud of your work.

Amazing Chicken Tikka and Lamb Biryani. This is the best indian food I've had in a long time and I've been to a few restaurants in London. It's worth the trip!
