Been here a few times as a change of scenery to Bishop's Stortford for a Sunday dog walk & always pop in here after for a snack & a liquid refreshment.
Food menu is fresh, homemade & yummy.

Really slow service over 2 hrs for pitta and hummus which was too small for a sharing platter, save money by not adding minimal dressed salad to plates, and baked camembert starters to come out, cleared away our own plates, lack of staff, mains was ok, cous cous needed some flavour, red cabbage coleslaw had split dressing, ordered kids meatballs and pasta dish only for adults portions to arrive,

Wet your whistle at this quaint little Buntingford gem! Full of the regular locals but also very welcoming for catching up with a visiting friend or two. Recently tried their in-house curry which was quite a treat, but be sure to also check out the street food vendors who regularly sell food outside the charming, seated outdoor area.

Like this Pub - Daughter took my wife and I there for mothers day and we had a pod outside, the staff were great, we had tea, cakes etc it was a lovely couple of hours we will visit

Really nice pub, with very proactive landlords organising different functions. Excellent menu, then weekends vans, selling quality street food.

We came in 20 minutes before the kitchen closed, at least so we were told. Ordered quickly and then waited over an hour for our food to be served. It wasn't bad at all, but for a meatball spaghetti, halloumi wrap and some kids fish fingers an hour was a really long wait. Further to that, each plate came out 5 minutes apart (it was 3 of us). Great atmosphere though, both inside and outside in the heated cabins!
