We had the Sunday Roast at The Bull today, We hadn't reserved but the friendly staff found us a table even though the restaurant was very busy. Our waiter Jade was really nice as well as efficient, as was her colleague who took our dessert order. The roast and the dessert were both excellent too, I can definitely recommend the Bull for Sunday lunch.

We had fish and chips and a fish butty. Both were very watery and tasteless. We never got everything that came with the food but also got food we didn't ask for. I ate only a quarter of the food and unfortunately felt unwell for the rest of the night with stomach pains and trips to the toilet. This was the only place we ate in.

The staff was very good and helpful. The only problem was it was very cold in the dining area.

Went for NYE great atmosphere food was shocking! A pre ordered meal starter was delicious the main Steak was a Joke! No more then 4oz battered to make it look bigger!! 1 Prawn Head minus the Body! 15 chips half a Lemon? I quatre of a florets of Broccoli a Quarter Parsnips? 1 pea!!!!!

It is the first time that I have been inside the bull pub. It is a very spacious environment with a car park at the rear of the building. Me and the wife ordered a steak and ale pie that comes with mash, peas, carrots, and gravy. 2 pints of Guinness and a coffee that came to £41.00.
It is very well priced, but to be fair in this day and age, what isn't?
The food was very hot. The pie was well filled also. A touch more gravy would have been nice, but each to their own.
The service was exceptional, well mannered, and accommodating.
The Bull also does live entertainment. Make sure that you book for the Cavery which serves on a Sunday.
Overall, yes, I would come back here again.
