Very dated , vey shabby and the room smells mustyGenerally not value for money £150 for a Saturday night family room , at a sporting event locally so chose a local hotel , this is definitely going to be my last travel lodge, premier inn is of a much nicer standardFood & drinks: Toby next door is ok

The hotel room was excellent clean and as advertised. But the bar on the ground floor is open to the public and let's just say many undesirable people frequent it at night. We came back from having a meal in a nearby pub and there were 2 police cars and a police van outside and were arresting some of the non residents that were in the bar.The next morning breakfast £8 extra was very good eat as much as you want buffet style.Rooms: Very clean and just as advertisedSafety: Did not feel safe in the public bar so left and I was correct as later 3 police vehicles were called and arrests were made.Food & drinks: The buffet breakfast eat as much as you like for £8 was excellent value.Noteworthy details: Would not recommend using the public bar at night.

After a few of a kerfuffle earlier in the day I arrived at the hotel. Very quiet it is too. Handy for many things including Elstree film studios, various train stations either in Elstree or either side.Walkability: Little walk up a small hill to get there.

Location location location? that?s what they say right? Well, the location for this hotel is greatest, right smack in the centre of tv and movie making Borehamwood. That?s where the plaudits stop.This hotel is shoddy, the rooms are subpar and the decor in all of what we saw was awful.Leaks in corridors, buckets everywhere, water soaked stains on the walls and ceilings that didn?t have leaks, and the rooms themselves are dirty, always cold (even with heating) and the place is always filled with builders and their white vans who make an inferiors amount of noise at the crack of dawn no matter what room you are on, no matter what floor (there?s only ground and upper) they WILL wake you up and you will hear them talking loudly and then revving their vans.The place is awful. It?s not even that cheap at £70 a night.On site parking, shared with the adjoining Tobey carvery, is like I said earlier, always 95% full of white vans. Space is literally first come first served. Shocking really.

i was given Room 100 its the first room threw the door from reception there is a staff door opposite the room that was slammed shut regularly threw the night a strong smell of marawaner in the hall ways constantly woke threw the night then the shower was to hot to get into very bad experience when all you ask for is a good night

Writing this review from the hotel bed, room is filthy especially the bathroom pubic hair on the toilet absolutely vile - checked in late night so no cleaning staff available- literally can?t wait to go home and have a shower feel dirty staying here. Door covered in dirty hand marks everywhere, literally disgusting. I?m in a family room since it was the only available floor and this is supposed to be suitable for children? sorry but if you have kids avoid this place because god knows what type of bacteria they could be open to.

Apart from the fact that half the switches in the room don?t work and I can hear a couple thrashing it next door at 3am, it had good service and I did manage to sleep well, beds were clean and comfy. Would prefer some sockets next to the bed rather than 2 in the whole room in the far corner.Noteworthy details: Free harassment with moaning at 3am

WORST HOTEL EVER !I have been to all kind of hotels, cheap, expensive, in Europe, in Asia... and this was by far the worst hotel I ever experienced! Very simply said : I COULDN'T SLEEP A MINUTE THERE ! The doors in the corridors are so loud, they'll wake you up, if not give you a heart attack, every time someone goes by ! On top of that the hotel was full of noisy guests, the rooms are not welcoming at all, ...

I use Travelodge most of the times whenever I do my business trips and the Hand soup dispensers are always damaged and I have to report them 80% of my time while staying at Travelodge wherever I stay,On This Travelodge Borehmwood I had issues as under,Very noisy guests reported to Reception No action taken.Hand wash dispenser was damaged reported to reception all was done uncovering the soup reservoir so I was advised to dip my hands in and use it very frustrating it was.Door closer mechanism were very stiff so they slam the door once getting in and out of the door I am used to this kind of issues on Travelodge sites but other guests weren't so all night doors were banging on top of their own noises.The receptionist Keith needs further training as he was trying to help but he himself didn't have idea how to handle these issues and he was not been able to help as expected.Left my contact details for the hotel manager to call back and discuss no one bothered to call.So I wasn't not very happy to stay at travelodge considering the facts stated above.

To all the bad reviews I say nah, it's not the Hilton. Important though the mattress is good quality very comfortable, good hot shower and staff that will help you only if you ask nicely

I arrived at around 15:30 and was waiting for assistance for at least more than 30 min, noone was at the desk. I saw a staff member smoking at the door way when I walked in, after 5 min she walked in on her phone and looked at me to completely ignore me and went off through the corridors. I was the only one at the desk is wasn't busy at all the sign said will be back shortly, what does that even mean. After the 30 min plus a staff member came and didn't apologise, just looked at me as if I have a problem. I gave my name and he said this is your room and he went to the back office straight away. I had to figure out which way I go to my room myself as there was two ways. I've stayed at Travelodge before and paid the same price with very good, prompt service overall. The room is very back dated and needs an upgrade, specially the bathroom, the taps where rusted and at each corner I could see mold, I didn't take a shower because I was very worried concerned, there was pubic hair around the sink and bath it was dark small. The bath had something black inside it. I was shocked about the noise throughout the night but I guess that was not the staffs fault as you can't predict guests behavioureven though it says to keep quiet. I did leave early than I was ment too around 7:00am. One positive was the morning staff was so nice, she asked me how my stay was, I did complain and said there was no towels ect.., I'm glad I bought my own face towel, you can tell she was apologetic and sympathetic. She said I should have called, I showed her my phone the amount of times I did. I couldn't come down as I have a disability. I don't think I'll stay or recommend Borehamwood Travelodge studio way. Needs an updated and restrain staff customer service.

A bit tucked away in Elstree although it's not too far from Sky. There is snother branch of Travelodge nearby so make sure you know which you're booking/going to. Outside it looks slightly careworn but overall its adequate and good value.No bar/cafe at this location, but they do provide a continental breakfast if required.

While I was talking to the recepcionist of the Hotel, I was booking another room for my auntie, In the date search I put the correct date but when I confirmed, it appeard a wrong date of the checkin, I told the recepcionist inmediatly and I told him, if it was possible to change the date of the booking, The recepcionist told me to book for the correct date, so now I had 2 booked dates, we called the travellodge office but told us that they cant to antthyng now and it has to be by their website etc. but this happend only in less than 30min time and they couldnt arrange it at that time. Still waitng for their responce and for the refund
