People make it out to be more expensive than other supermarkets. Maybe in some cases, products, yes. But generally speaking, shopping in a pleasant, civilised environment and getting better products and service is worth the odd 5% here and there.

This is a nice store with loads of car parking nearby. The Waitrose car park gives 90 minutes of free parking. The store is modern and airy. They have toilet facilities which is good but the corridor leading up to the toilets is not clean and also the only cubicle in the gents toilets is out of action.

Awful parking system. Paid for 3 hours parking. I was sent to pay a charge While I stayed less than 2 hours. Keep your parking ticket! They take photos from your car entering and leaving but that not aligned with their paid parking meter. Still waiting for them to reply to my appealing.

By some distance the worst Waitrose I've ever been in. All the trolleys were broken or stuck together, the staff were incredibly unhelpful and clearly don't respect the customers. There were very few tills open during the busiest time of day, and one of the open ones then broke down which just caused even more frustration for the long queue of customers! The prices are the highest of any supermarket by far and many of the products are extremely difficult to take from the shelves because of the way the shelves are designed. Also, I've seen the police in attendance several times recently which is concerning. The management just don't seem to care at all.

So perhaps some items are a bit more expensive but the range and service make up for it in my view. And there are still bargains to be found.

I popped in, waitrose the other day, and the staff were ever so helpful. The cafe is situated at the end of the store. It's lovely and peaceful.
