A really nice shop for gifts, we were just visiting for the day as two friends doing a bit of shopping. It is expensive but we expected that before going in. We were just browsing but what was really off putting was both staff members standing in the middle of the store at either end just watching us. I understand theft is a big problem in these times but it was really odd and very uncomfortable. I?ve never experienced that in any other shop. There are ways of being discreet and keeping an eye on customers without being so obvious. It does not inspire a person to buy anything. We were relieved to leave the shop, no doubt being watched as we went. We wouldn?t go back in, we didn?t find them very friendly either I?m sorry to say, no good morning or anything like that. Very strange.

Always loved this shop over the years buying lovely cards gifts ect . I won?t be returning due to rude staff member who raised her voice for having an empty coffee cup with a lid on it which I do understand no drinks but there?s a way of saying this , was so embarrassing as people were looking as this staff member obviously liked the sound of her own voice , then said as I was walking away , if you spill that you can pay for it , so took my self of to vinagar hill and bought all the gifts I needed there .

Avoid Chocolate selections - Knowing my wife loves her chocolate and is always so interested by the flavour profiles, I went to get some from temptations and when I asked what the chocolates in the selection boxes were and if there was a list of flavours, I was told no there wasn?t a list. (I was so tempted to just walk away, and wish I had) I asked if they knew what flavours were and the staff rattled off a list of flavours. Ultimately, the chocolates are really basic and aren?t worth the price tag, even though the staff said they are amazing and we would love them. Will be looking elsewhere for quality hand made chocolates in future.

The shop has a nice selection of gifts on offer and I have been there many times over the years.
What a shame then that my experience today was marred by the staff hovering over every move that my wife and two children made, making no attempt to hide that they clearly thought we were about to shoplift.
The experience was unsubtle, insulting and very judgemental.

I Purchased a hand cream in the shop. Shortly after I left the shop, I realised I picked up a hand cream rather than sanitizer. When I returned to the shop with the receipt, the shop was closed but I could still see people in there. I knocked on the door just to check if I can exchange it. They kept saying it is closed, couldn?t even be bother to open the door for me to explain I just need to grab the sanitizer (as both items are same value) despite her standing right by the door. Would not return. Bad customer service
