Impressive sandwiches and cheese crunch on sourdough bread was perfect. Shop was busy and staff were great especially the younger server she was polite and helpful. Simmons bakers doing what they do best. Thank you.

Everything was perfect until the table service began.
The staff behind the counter were lovely, but one of the table servers made us feel as though we had a bad attitude for no reason. She placed the cakes on our table by leaning over my head and almost throwing them down. When she returned with the teas, her manner was the same, unfriendly and dismissive.
Not all of the staff were like this, as some of the servers were very pleasant and welcoming. However, the younger one seemed unhappy and it really affected the experience. A little more training would make a big difference, as this place deserves service that matches the quality of the food.
On the positive side, they have an excellent sandwich selection and delicious cakes, which I would definitely recommend. I just hope to avoid the unfriendly service in future.
Suggestion: we order 3 things and only mine came true and the 2 rest were missing what we order. But that?s fine they were busy and could be better next time

The guys leaving such pathetic reviews clearly have a grudge or just don't understand what it's like working in a very busy environment. I often eat in and get very friendly service but a lot depends on how busy they are! Overall very good service/food & generally mostly friendly. Keep it up!

Large selection of build-your-own sandwiches available with a good, tasty, range of fillings and bread to choose from. All day breakfasts to suit most tastes. Huge number of tempting sweet treats on offer along with bean to cup coffees and soft drinks galore.
Indoor and outside seating, shop is clean, bright and fresh with helpful staff and situated well amongst the, often more expensive, competition on the High Street.

Not a friendly place at all unless you are a regular customer, then they make you feel extremely welcome. If you are not a regular, you dont even get acknowledged. Not even a hello. How can i help. You get ignored until you speak up.
Very selective who they make feel welcome. I nearly cried afterwards due to the staff members lack of empthay and humanity. Came hungry left hungry. Special place in hell waitng for you!

The food here is good, however the service is very slow for even simple requests, and queues quickly build up. Staff are unfriendly. It?s not a good experience, staff need more training.

Travelled two hours for a tooth appointment and decided to have a breakfast with my father. The food was beautiful and had no complaints. However, the customer service was atrocious hence the stars in this review. The girl with brown hair looked me and my father up and down when we entered the bakery and then her tone & facial expressions whilst ordering made us feel as if we were a problem by ordering. Half way through the order she talks to another member of staff leaving me standing there mid order. Then she brings our hot drinks over with no conversation and then the same with the food. Kindness costs nothing and a friendly welcoming face goes a long way something this bakery seriously lacks, which is a shame considering the food was lovely.
