We have been using Lancer for a while now, food by is absolutely amazing and flavoursome, very authentic and fresh. Would not use anywhere else . Just discovered Sri Lankan lamb which is amazing, in fact we had in two days running.

Service was quite slow and had to ask multiple times to order and for the bill. Food was nice but without realising a 20% service charge was added just before I tapped my card. Also a just eat constantly came through the restaurant handling cash and going into kitchen.

Crossed wires order.
Thought I said "chicken nugget meal" actually asked for "chicken naga"
Was very quick to come and bring me the chicken naga I asked for. Excellent customer service thank you very much.

This has got to be the best indian restaurant i have been to .The whole evening was perfect .We had 18 of us and the they looked after us .The food was excellent .Hot and beautifully cooked .The service perfect . THE MENU amazing .Definately going back soon .
Vegetarian options: we didnt have vegetarian
Parking: only just try it
Kid-friendliness: We had a baby with us and they were so good

Order through Uber Eats.
Waited 1.5 hours (40 minutes past the expected delivery). Finally called wondering where on earth it was. Met with an exasperated explanation that they?re busy and there?s been mixups. So I?ll need to wait.
Response from me being it?s not really good enough and I?ll give them another half an hour. He responded saying it won?t be cooked properly - therefore they clearly hadn?t even started it. I pointed this out and he decided to come back with ?I?m cancelling your order?.
Better still?then proceeded to inform Uber I had requested the cancellation so that they keep the money.
Pathetic, greedy, rude?in that order.

The food was lovely but won't return,we had a booking for 7.30 and finally got our meal at 9.15 absolutely ridiculous wait ,their having renovations at the back and I need the toilet so had to set in a puddle of water whilst I sat on the toilet with a plug hanging down ..

A brilliant curry house and very well decorated and it's easy to see why this place has been given so many awards, the staff occasionally give out free drinks to people waiting on particularly busy nights. However, recently the recipe must of changed as I have noticed the colour of the chicken tikka has turned bright red which to me suggests the usage of artificial dyes and the chicken curry has a lot more fennel added which a few friends and family have picked up on. Extremely disappointed if cheap dyes and low quality ingredients is your chosen business path as this is one of my favourite restaurants 4/5

It's a solid curry house. Prices are good and staff are very friendly and attentive.

Came here on the 15th Feb after seeing the awards and people saying the food was good we arrived at 615 poppadoms arrived within 5 mins an hour later our meal was ordered it then took another 45 minutes to arrive the food was very nice but the whole time we was there they had 2 phones which were on loud and were continuously ringing there must have been 40 customers who had enough of the phones ringing I complained twice nothing was done
The whole meal took 3 hours I will not return as it completely ruined the evening and left a lot of customers very frustratedly

Food was decent but the service was diabolical. Not for the first time we ordered food to be delivered for 7 and an hour and fifteen later no sign of food. After chasing, it eventually arrived but no apologies and the enjoyment of having a takeaway ruined. Last time we use Lancer which is a shame.

Having seen the awards the restaurant recently won, my son treated me to a takeaway. It arrived barely warm. I took into consideration they may have been busy and the distance travelled. It looked amazing and having heated it up it was palatable.
We thought it would be a good idea to attempt a dine in meal as a family! We received initial drink and pre appetisers within 10 minutes.
As we had been chatting we hadn?t realised we had been left for an hour before we had ordered our meal and more drinks. Each of our drinks arrived separately which seemed a little peculiar. We had began to notice how slow the service for us was. Everyone that had arrived before us had already left.
More customers that had arrived an hour or more after us were being served and some leaving having been fully served.
Three separate occasions we queried where our meals were the same staff member told us the food was on its way out now.
Having been there 2 hours without a meal. We asked for the bill so we can pay for what we had. We were no longer hungry and just wanted to leave. 20 minutes later a young member of staff bought the bill over and it had included what we hadn?t received. Poor lad could not apologise enough. He really was the highlight of our visit and we knew he was powerless to do anymore for us. He was ushered away with the card machine by the person that had repeatedly told us the food was coming now. He they informed us he was just going to get our meals.
10 minutes later we calculated our own bill. £60 for drinks and pre appetisers! Took it to the tills to pay. The same person told us a 4th time the food was coming out now, despite the kitchen staff all stood still in silence watching this unfold.
My son stepped in and asked him to stop pushing the food and just let us pay for what we had so we could leave, only then he relented, we were then allowed to pay and leave. We were on the premises 2 hours 30 minutes in total.
We did take into consideration the time of year, and may be busy. Sadly, we didn?t feel the same respect and consideration was being given to us so we will not return.

Absolutely disgusted with Lancer Indian Cuisine. Placed an order tonight, one chicken passanda and two paneer kormas were ordered and they sent chicken instead of the paneer when I am a vegetarian. When we called them to speak to them about it, they tried to claim we were lying, saying the chef said he definitely made two paneer when we were quite clearly looking at chicken. After that, we suggested that perhaps one had accidentally been swapped with someone else?s order to which they said that couldn?t have happened because they?ve had no one else complain. All they?ve said they will do is give us something free next time we order, which we won?t be doing. So now I?m left without half of my dinner. I would suggest if you are vegetarian to maybe avoid.
