Highly recommend The Compasses, we met family members here, being midway between our respective addresses. Not knowing the area we didn?t know what to expect. Tony was very helpful and reassuring in making our booking. We were a party of nine. Peter and Anita front of house, were extremely welcoming. The menu was varied and suitable for all tastes. The food was cooked extremely well and was great value for money. Our servers were all welcoming and friendly and went beyond, making our visit very pleasant. The Compasses was warm and clean, highly recommended.

I called in on a whim several months ago to watch the football and have my favourite beer.
Ended up staying for the Quiz Night, invited by the friendly staff, and now I regularly enter.
Cancelled my Sky Sports and I now watch the footy here and enjoy the tasty grub with a pint or three ?
It's not exactly my local but it's well worth the 2 mile walk to get there every time.
Very friendly and accommodating.
I've been made very welcome indeed by the landlords and their staff even though my team is "the other lot"! ?
Just the sort of pub you want to go to. Cheers!

We had an 80th birthday party here. The food was lovely and a good selection of beers. Lovely place to visit. I will definitely come back here.

This place is fantastic!! Amazing friendly staff and mouth watering food. The restaurant was amazing! The atmosphere was great. The prices were good and the toilets was very clean. The staff was so chatty and friendly. 10/10.

Nice cosy bar/restaurant with additional covered seating.The food was ok (decent price).The hunters chicken seemed a bit 'plastic', and the bacon seemed like processed ham.Paté and sausages starter were lovely.Curry was nice, too.Waitress was lovely (patient, too).Overall, it's a decent place

First time visiting from out of the area and the food and service was excellent! Would definately recommend.

Spent an evening here. It is a lovely pub. Food was delicious, we had the pie with chips and the fish n chips. Bar staff were very friendly. Great atmosphere.

If you are looking for a traditional Sunday lunch after a day at the Harry Potter studio, then check this pub out for a relaxing dinner and drinks.The Sunday roast is on point and to die for,with friendly service and easy parking out front and in the back car park.

we found this fantastic pub after our Harry Potter studio tour. We were a party of 5 .we had a variety of starters and main courses.the service was fast and very prompt . the food was fantastic and we sat outside under cover on their large covered patio area .amazing atmosphere and very relaxed . 10 out of 10 .we will definitely return if we are in the area .
