Just had a one night stay in The Suite Room at The Saracens Head Inn. Such a lovely location, amazing food and great service from all staff. Would highly recommend and we will definitely book again. Thank you ?

I always visit here when I'm in the area. Food is always excellent, good choice of drinks and service is great. Can get very busy when the weather is good so if you're looking to eat worth booking in advance.

Fabulous location and well run pub with great rooms and restaurant quality meals. Not surprised it was busy even in March!
Rooms: Lovely room overlooking the river, gorgeous views.
Nearby activities: Great walks of different lengths along the river or up to view point which is worth the climb. Lots of people canoeing. A ferry runs in Summer which makes circular walks much easier.
Food & drinks: Quite a lot of outdoor seating over looking river. Really lovely restaurant style food in the restaurant.
Noteworthy details: Very well run pub with a great restaurant. If resident they keep you a car space as it?s a busy narrow lane.

Stayed in the Weir House and ate dinner st the pub. Dinner was great and enjoyed by everyone. Puddings were good but not quite the same standard as the mains.

Had a walk along the river Wye to visit the Saracens Head Inn that, from the opposite river bank, is about 3-1/2 miles (crossing the suspension bridge) hoping to cross back on the ferry only to find that it wasn't working. (No notice on the west bank that they were not running the ferry).
We had lunch here before walking all the way back, but the food was worth the walk.
I had Gammon Steak (the biggest I've ever had anywhere before), and it was very tasty.
A good selection of ales and spirits are on offer.
Would recommend that you book a table if eating as it gets very busy (even in February).
Great views along the river from beer garden.
Rooms: Can't say as we were staying elsewhere.
Nearby activities: River walks, canoeing.
Walkability: Check if the ferry is running first if walking round from the other side of the river.
( 7 mile round trip walking if it's not)
Food & drinks: Food is fantastic and large portions.
