Beautiful room, super friendly people and lovely food. The only slight letdown was that odd moments of service just let it down, such a shame but retail is detail. My wife asked if she could order an afternoon tea for 3pm Saturday at just gone 5 on Friday, the young man told it wasn't possible excuse 24 hours notice was required, he didn't even crack a smile. She asked the proprietor again on Saturday morning who said 'absolutely' what would you like.Then at dinner we were left waited Ng for sweet chilli relish, it never arrived, and a second spoon was requested and needed a reminder about 5 minutes late.But these are small details, the rooms are exceptional and the overall vibe is excellent. We will definitely be staying again.Rooms: Brilliant, wonderfully clean, well appointed

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous rooms in a stunning location, and wonderful food at reasonable pricing. The staff provide an impeccable service with nothing being too much trouble. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Stayed over three nights at Christmas and enjoyed every minute. Staff were so friendly and helpful. There was nothing too much trouble.Rooms: One of us has a problem with stairs, and obligingly, the hotel ensured we had a room on the first floor and near the top of them. Our room was clean and had a wonderful view.Food & drinks: Good menu variety at reasonable prices. Food was served hot, was tasty, and well presented.

Just spent 5 days here to celebrate New Year's Eve. Had a fantastic time, great food, fab party afterwards and a brilliant atmosphere all round! Can't wait to come back ??Food & drinks: Food was lovely. Beautiful Gala meal for New Year's Eve and breakfast was lovely each day with good choice!

What a beautiful old and classy hotel. Large and comfortable relaxation areas and all sizes of very good bedrooms with en suite. The dining room is also large, airy and relaxing. Everything about the place is excellent, there is plenty of parking on site to make things easier.I highly recommend a stay here or even just come for a meal, you'll love it!Rooms: A great range of rooms of varying sizes with en suites.Nearby activities: Plenty of lovely walks around the town and country side plus in town entertainment.Food & drinks: The hotel food is absolutely superb, a real taste treat and of large portions.

We stayed at the Royal Hotel for two days in early October, 2023. The room was terrific, with a great view of the river below. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, both in the front office and the restaurant/bar. Wonderful food, too. Overall, an all-round excellent guest experience!

Only 1 negative the room I stayed in room 6 has a 2 foot drop on the threshold of the door as you enter I nearly broke my foot, less able bodied guest may have a worse outcome.That aside this the room was clean and comfortable, I had dinner in restaurant staff were fantastic and the food was excellent!! Highly recommend.Safety: Room6 hazard on entering drop of 2foot

Our group have just stayed at The Royal for a long weekend. All of the staff have been so friendly and welcoming, the rooms are clean and fresh, and the restaurant meals and service have been faultless. Carol in the restaurant is a treasure, so accommodating and friendly, a real pleasure to have met her. Overall - lovely!Rooms: Lovely rooms very tastefully decorated.Nearby activities: Plenty of tourist attractions near by.Walkability: Located just a few minutes walk from the centre of Ross.Food & drinks: Great menu at very reasonable prices, food was lovely, fresh and hot.

Stayed here for two nights a couple of weeks ago. A very busy, popular place. The staff were all really lovely, friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our evening meal and the delicious breakfast. This hotel is in a lovely position overlooking the river.
