Went here today (January)
Young man on the counter was a little stand offish from the outset. Poor selection of cakes on display. Coffee was nice enough. For a venue with a 5 star food rating, to have 4-5 enormous house flies buzzing around your head while you tried to enjoy your coffee and cake was a little disconcerting. The Manager could/should have seen these and done something to deal with this. Fly paper, insect trap, zapper etc. These insects were able to get to the kitchen area and the food. Not impressed.....

Very nice Café. Good Food, good service. Thought the place could do with a refurb as it was looking a little bit tired. But in all very good.

Visited over many years after today I shan't return
Food arrived 25 minutes after drinks and we'd fnished them,luke warm toasted flatbread cheese hardly melted obviously burst and filling piled up on side ..
Partners baguette was very hard
A fellow diner had her chihuahua with its head and front paws on the table ..which although was no fault of the proprietor was somewhat off putting
I rarely give negative feed back but felt the visit most disappointing

Staff were really friendly. My wife had the chilli and there wasn't really much meat in it at. Was really hot and slightly stuffy in the restaurant itself. My flat bread was okay but I have had better. Service was okay but it was a bit hectic at front of house. As I say staff were friendly but I wouldn't be going for food again sorry.

Dietary restrictions: Had several gluten free bread options and checked with us before toasting in their toaster
