On a long drive home, and kids needed run around and supper. These guys did the business - really efficient service, very tasty, both pizza and pasta dishes. Would highly recommend.

Four of us had an evening meal. We were surprised how big it was with an upstairs and a 'conservatory' The staff were friendly. The service was excellent. The food was very tasty. The atmosphere was very relaxed.
We came on a Saturday evening, make sure you book in advance as all the tables were taken. I would highly recommend.

Obviously well loved by the locals. Very busy. We were a party of five people and seated upstairs. Ordered bread and olives, calamari and whitebait to stave off the hunger pangs. B&O poor, C&W unspectacular. A range of pasta dishes ordered as mains including lasagne. A long wait ensued and only four dishes were served. The lasagne had been forgotten. When it did eventually arrive other members of the party had nearly finished their food. Scant apology was given for the timing and the lasagne was a poor assemblage of pasta, ragu, passata and mozzarella. MOZZARELLA!!?? Other pasta dishes were generally well received.
What a shame. The atmosphere of the restaurant as a whole was buzzing but our table was sorely let down.

This place is amazing. One of the best Italian restaurants we've been to. The service was excellent, nice environment and the food is superb. Big portions so worth the cost. We live over an hour away but we're seriously thinking we will have to visit again

From the minute we turned up it was apparent they didn?t want us there.After sitting upstairs on our own for 15 minutes we were told there was an issue with the kitchen so we might get some food if we waited 30 minutes. No apology or no effort to serve us drinks in the meantime. Certainly won?t be returning very rude staff!!!

Fabulous Italian restaurant. Both nights I asked for changes to dishes due to dietary needs. No problem with friendly waiting staff and delicious meals followed. Thank you so much for a pleasant dining experience. It does mean so much.

Visiting from Cardiff.
Great food.
Decent size portions.
Good value for money.
Atmosphere slightly humid and stuffy.
Wouldn't like to be there on a really hot night.
Snakeskin place mats rather odd.

We visited La Piccola Italia yesterday.
After waiting for about 15 minutes, a waiter came and showed us to our table.
For starters, we ordered bread with olives and calamari ? the calamari was actually pretty good.
I had a margarita for my drink, which was tasty and well-balanced.
For our mains, we had the Arrabbiata and the Penne Casa, along with mushroom and potato sides ? all of which were delicious.
The decor was full of details, really cozy and beautifully done. The service was standard ? not amazing, but not bad either.
Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed our evening.

This is my go to place when visiting Monmouth..the food and service here is top notch and the prices aren't silly. Portion size is good and the food is piping hot. Recommend it.

Spent a great Saturday evening in la piccola, it was the second time we have visited. We were sat in the upstairs covered veranda which was very cool. The food, drinks and service were excellent. Will definitely come again next time we are in Monmouth
