Fab village pub on Offa?s Dyke Path. Lovely traditional bar and a warm welcome. I had the home made steak and ale pie and the home made cheesecake. Both were delicious. The rooms are mini suites with self contained living areas and bathroom. These are both modern and spotless. Great stop over on the walk and well worth a visit.

We walked from Kington to Gladestry where we had booked to eat at the Royal Oak. Arriving early we spent a memorable couple of hours playing pool and chatting with the staff. We were given a wealth of local information by Sharon and the owner, who went above and beyond to make our visit very enjoyable. The food was lovely and we will definitely be returning to their many social events. Thank you very much.

We absolutely loved this place. Visiting family for the weekend and walked here from Kington. ????
From the minute we walked in I knew I?d like this place. Great choice of drink (reasonably priced) and not too busy? but what made this place was the service. Sharon was super helpful and friendly, gave us some helpful advice about the local area and even sorted us out with a lift home ?
Food was very good too? who doesn?t love a hunters chicken! This one was up there with the best I?ve had.
Thank you all at the Royal Oak. We?ll definitely be back?

Stopped by to have dinner here and it was a lovely place. The gentleman who served us was very welcoming and found us a good table for us. The food was lovely, nice big portions and fresh salad. Chips were AMAZING!! Staff were so friendly and great service. We left a very good tip we were that impressed.

Was after somewhere last minute for a meal, for 4 adults and a little one, they were so welcoming and friendly, couldn't help us enough. Dave the barman was great and the food was amazing!

Beautiful and authentic country pub. We popped in for a drink after a day visiting Presteigne. Friendly welcome at the bar. Didn?t get the chance to sample the food but saw evidence of hearty fare on offer. I will be coming back!
