I have been a customer for many years at this Chinese take away.Good points:The food is generally very good.Usual wait is around 15 minutes.Bad points:Tonight:Sadly tonight my sweet and sour sauce was horrible. I don't know what it was but it certainly wasn't the normal sauce.They were also swept off their feet tonight and obviously under staffed.We went at the time we were told to and still had to wait 45 minutes.Very unusual I might add.Things that have bugged me for ages:Although the hygiene rating is 5 and I'm sure the food preparation area is OK, the waiting area is disgusting.The carpet is ancient and heavily soiled. The seats are also ancient and in bad condition, also various old fixtures and fittings are caked in dirt.It is cash only, no card machine which is mad in this day and age.Given the fact that the food isn't cheap and they are obviously doing very well the above issues should be sorted out.As I said, I have been to this take away for many years and the above issues won't stop me from continuing to go but I hope they are noted and considered.

Hi there,We?re so sorry if you had a bad experience at our establishment. We always make sure to say the price whenever a customer orders via phone or in person so we are unsure how this would have happened. The only reason we would ever change the price after an order has been made would be if a dish was added after or some alterations were made after. We are always happy to try and rectify any mistakes if customers call back or come back to the shop on the day. And we are always happy to answer any questions.

No other Chinese restaurant in the area so gave this a try . Had a 15 minute wait for the food which was ok, although the free prawn crackers tasted like they were left over from the previous night .

This is for me, one of, if not THE nicest Chinese takeaway I've ever used.The food is a step up on what you get at a lot of Chinese restaurants. For starters, it's not greasy. They are really decent portions too. What I love most is that you don't wake up in the middle of the night feeling like you've swallowed a sand pit, which tends to happen after most Chinese meals I've ever eaten due to them being over salted! Now I actually love salt, but I feel no need to add any to the meals I've had from here, they have all been perfect just as they are.Sally who often works here, is just lovely and always so friendly either on the phone or in person. I couldn't be happier that this is my local Chinese takeaway!

Always very friendly and efficient. Time said is usually accurate. Tasty food. Prices are reasonable.A couple of issues, both of which dock a star:- a family member and I both had weekend-long headaches following eating from here, Friday and Saturday night. It may be MSG. (Ymmv, just be aware.)- I specifically requested no mushrooms (as semi-allergic) in a dish. Most dishes contained them, including the dish I - as I say - specifically checked.

Really nice takeaway... very tasty, large freshly prepared portions and friendly staff in the shop. Set meal for 2 plus a couple of dishes could easily feed 4. I struggled to find an up to date menu online, so the photos show the current choices. Also worth noting that it was cash only payments when I visited (August 2021).

Service second to none. Ordered in plenty of time for pick up and was not disappointed. The vegetables are cooked to perfection. Never a fan of water chestnuts until now? meat is succulent sauces spot on. We live fifteen minutes away. It will be our local??

We were camping locally and chose this restaurant because of Google reviews and we weren't disappointed. We went for dam dam chicken and kung po king prawn, both of which were really fresh and delicious. Also the service was really quick. Well recommended. Much nicer than our local Chinese at home.

Having recently moved to herefordshire i've been looking for a decent chinese takeaway. Based on the reviews I traveled to Bamboo Garden, first impressions were good as the place was busy and the staff were lovely, but once home with the food the curry sauce was a bland watery mush and the chips were like scratchings. I will say that the egg fried rice was ok and the beanspouts were too but unfortunately this was enough for us. My search for a decent Chinese takeaway in northern herefodshire goes on.
