I have been here a few times and it's definitely hit and miss .Tonight was a miss food so greasy my wife couldn't eat it .And mine was seemed to be a child's portion .So will definitely leave it few a more months or more before we try it again especially with the cost when you give most of it to the dog ..

Ordered fish & chips and my wife a piece of chicken with salad. On collection the hot chicken had been placed on top of the salad if you can call it that, limp lettuce, white cabbage & 2 slices of tomato for £4.50. She asked for them to be wrapped separate and the server was most put out, huffing & puffing. When we got home I opened my fish & all the batter peeled off on the paper, just a soggy mess, fish tasty though. Not a pleasant experience

Excellent fish and chips. Best I've had in a long time. For the portion sizes and quality the price is reasonable.

The fish and chips at this shop were absolutely fantastic?some of the freshest I?ve had in a long time. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the chips were golden and flavorful. It?s easily one of the best I?ve had in a while, and I?ll definitely be coming back next time I?m in the area!

Called in on the way back from fishing with a mate in the Elan valley. The saying goes that if you?re hungry you will eat anything, sadly I can?t agree with that after ordering Cod and Chips here! Expensive, undercooked fish and some pretty unpleasant chips. Perhaps the customer facing staff should receive some training to at least make customers feel welcome and valued. I will make sure in future that the Ledbury mop fair isn?t in town so I can call in to my usual fish and chip shop in Ledbury where the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is actually edible.

We had a fish and chips takeaway meal from here on Saturday night, and I can say that it was one of the best ones I've eaten for a very long time! The fish was perfectly cooked and tasted nice and fresh. We also had mushy peas and curry sauce, which were also good. Thank you!

Stopped for food on a long drive home and had some the best chips we've ever had. Reasonable prices and fast service. I suspect we'll be taking this route again.

Very good chips with a good range to choose from. The Angel Fish Bar seems to focus on fresh kebabs and burgers. The burgers appeared to be the normal price and kebabs seemed to be quite costly, but the quality is probably high which would explain it.Portion-wise for large chips was good and the chips were very good. Hot with a nice crunch and soft in the centre.The sausages were a good size and seemed pretty cheap for what we got, £2 each in May 2024.The Angel Fish Bar had no scampi, but did have cod and haddock.Their is no wheelchair access and on-road parking is limited. Good batter on the fish, even with a take away - some crunchy bits were still there. Chips were mostly soft but some crunchy ones in there too. Great portion sizes. Friendly staff.
