Pleasant setting. Room was clean and comfortable. Minimalistic dining area. Tidy and natural light. Food quite good. Well presented. Guinea Fowl good. Summer pudding average.

The Oak is must visit if you are visiting the area. The food is excellent and the staff is supper friendly and helpful.

Drove 40 minutes through the middle of nowhere for what was supposed to be a cracking pub meal — only to rock up and find the place completely, utterly, stone-cold shut.
Google said open. Website said open. Reality said “piss off.”
