We called in as part of the 'Bike and Brew' event - we weren't disappointed! We had already eaten breakfast in the morning at our hotel stop, but we couldn't resist coffee and cake, while watching the activity at Shobdon airfield. A little off our usual routes but we'll worth a diversion.

A great establishment right on the edge of the runway....busy little aerodrome, mainly vintage planes and helicopters.
On the whole the cafe exterior and interior is tired....overlooking that and you'll receive a nice friendly helpful welcome....good service and nice food and coffee.

Lovely place to stop off for a cuppa out on the bike. 1st time I bought food and it was OK. Bacon undercooked but they were busy, so will try again hopefully less busy

Nice traditional breakfast was had the morning I visited. 23rd July 25.
It seems very popular with many folk from all walks of life.
Nice area to sit outside and see a few planes and helicopters flying about and landing.
A large field where families were enjoying picnics, too, if you want to do that.
It's worthy of a visit.

Meg's is legendary. This is airfield food, not airline food. Little aeroplanes fly in from all over the country so their pilots can eat here, but the food tastes just as good if you drive here?

Found this gem of a place from the Bike & Brew passport. Absolutely loved it. To sit in the sunshine with a coffee and cake watching the little planes taking off and landing was pretty unique. Loads of parking for both bikes and cars. Great field to take kids for a runaround and picnic.

Drove out to shobdon just to try megs cafe breakfast and after waiting to cue we got to the till at two minutes past 11 when they stop doing a breakfast and they said they
wouldn't do us one real shame

Service was nice, friendly cheerful lady behind the counter.
Food was mediocre, med vegetables in a panini. The veggies were pre frozen which makes them soft and without texture, bacon and cheese sandwich made with bread that was chilled?
Not for us again sorry.

Convenience for visitors. Coffee is available with either proper ground coffee or cheap instant variety. Service is difficult when it's a busy event.
