Really nice pub , great atmosphere and nice food although the portion sizes were on the small side, worth baring this in mind when ordering

What a super pub. Lovely interior, beautiful garden (although too hot to sit out on the day we visited). Well prepared food and polite and helpful staff. Loses 1 point as both the restaurant and loos were not very accessible for my elderly companion.

Food was delicious! Slightly on the expensive side but well worth it. The garden was a perfect setting and staff were lovely

A very enjoyable Sunday lunch, good quality food and very friendly and efficient service. Would definitely recommend the New Inn.

Best Sunday dinner I've had in years! Beef was great pink, and the roasters and veggies were all cooked to perfection. Highly recommended!

Only had a drink in the garden with showed service (and lovely cider) and a beautiful setting.
Road noise could be an issue to sensitive folk though.

We stopped by in the afternoon for a drink and a chippie. The barman was great, the chippies were super yum, and outdoor area was just lovely. Would absolutely pop back in if we are in the neighbourhood

no dogs allowed in a country pub, nonsensical.

Very poorly lit up front, so nearly drove by it. The toilets are a strange layout. I opened the door to go in as a man was coming out of the toilet and the door banged into my leg, poorly designed for a re vamp. The waitress was lacking bedside manner but the food was outstanding. Ended up paying at the bar as it was impossible to get the attention of staff to ask for the bill. It's not just about the food. All in all I think one visit was enough.

Visited the New Inn on 5th January 2025 for lunch. The main entrance hadn't been cleared of snow from the previous night's fall so getting to the door was slippery and hazardous. The restaurant was freezing cold with guest's wearing coats and scarfs to keep warm. My wife and I had roast beef which was cooked well but lacked any flavour. The Yorkshire pudding were nice and light but also flavour less. A pinch of thyme or rosemary and salt in the cooking would have transformed them. My cauliflower was on the raw side of al dente. Roast potatoes which are so easy to get right and make crisp on the outside with a light fluffy interior. However, these were like rocks outside and inside they just sucked all the moisture from ones mouth. For dessert I had a round teaspoon sized ice-cream, souffle which was ok and a Grand Mariner sauce which was really good. However the sauce came in a toy jug that simply didn't pour but just ran everywhere. The only good thing was the cutlery which was by Robert Welch. The cost was simply a waste of £85.
