Bar staff & chef were really friendly. The place was nicely decorated & clean. We managed to just miss the busy time. Food was delicious & I wasn't able to finish mine, which is rare for me! Would definitely visit again.

Scenes last night in this pub. Freezing cold food. Real shame. Kids running around unattended helping themselves to bits from the shop inside pub. A young child in the kitchen. Poor form.

DO NOT GO FOR FOOD
waited over an hour for food
They brought out the wrong meal twice
Mac b cheese was a small we ordered large
The fish was rock hard like being through a frier 10 times
They said ?we found it lying on the side ?
Our waiter was the only good part she was nice
The chef just sat down and had a monster energy next to us
2nd day of opening and already problems
They gave us a-bit of money back

The burger I had was absolutely unbelievable! The perfect meal after a day of hiking along the Wye? the atmosphere was calm yet alive, perfect for the small village feel. But above all the service was some of the best I?ve experienced. All the staff are so nice. The owners make you feel welcome the moment you meet them? I don?t live nearby but I will be returning.

Large group of us dined here this weekend and it was a great experience overall. Food was tasty and fresh (you could tell it was all homemade). The servers were great - appreciate we may not have been the easiest group with kids, babies and dogs but they coped well and everything ran smoothly.

Staff were nice, but the food was like eating stuff that was heated from a freezer, and half the place was falling apart, as well as dog muck on the grass by food tables.

Visited the New Harp for dinner and drinks on their reopening night, the food was fantastic, beef burgers were nice and juicy with locally sourced beef.

We came in for food. They were out of stock of most drinks that we had asked for. Food was cold and undercooked and had to be sent back and then took ages to come back out. Tables dirty and no soap in the toilets. This was all at the start of food service.

Came here recently on the way back from working in Cardiff and had a great time. Delicious food, great vibes and an excellent welcome from Kaytie and Simeon!

Popped in for some food and drinks after a long walk around the area. Food was amazing in presentation and taste.
Unfortunately the chef left a bad taste in our mouths after saying we were racist if we didn?t leave a review and later telling a woman in the group that she had a face made for radio, and that with beauty like that, there?s no need to come back. The first comment I can brush off as a joke but calling a young woman you?ve just met and is a paying customer ugly to her face is a step beyond edgy banter.
He had otherwise seemed pretty funny up to that point, singing in the kitchen and chatting to customers. Fortunately, the young lady in question is resilient and took it in stride but it left a damper on the experience.
