There was no queuing and plenty of notices advising distancing and the wearing of masks. It was quiet so progress around the store and through checkout was fast and incident free.
Update: despite being Sunday morning it was busy but plenty of checkouts open. We'll stocked and plenty of staff.

I completed a click and collect order, which was initially fine.I had to wait a while for it but was mostly correct and the worker who brought it out to me was very helpful, allowing me to take it in the boxes as I didn't have any bags with me with the understanding I would return the boxes the following morning. However, first thing the next day I received a call from a member of staff,letting me know that her manager was also there, and complaining that I shouldn't have taken the boxes and they needed them back immediately. I barely had time to fit a work in edgeways as she continued to moan that they didn't have enough boxes, it was extremely inconvenient for them that I'd taken them ant that I was NEVER to do it again. Needless to say, I won't be using Sainsbury's services again - fortunately we have a much more helpful and considerate Waitrose store instead.

It's my local shop. Plenty of parking, Argos, cafe, pharmacy, Timpsons, petrol. There is an Aldi nearby where I do my first shop then get anything else from Sainsbury's. Good selection of fruit and veg. Cheese counter is a shadow of what it used to be. Too many self-serve tills for my liking and can run a bit low on some items like milk. Staff are friendly and the veggie breakfast in the cafe is good.
NOTE: Pharmacy has permanently closed
Busy today just two days before Xmas Day but shelves well stocked and queues are manageable.

Grumpy staff at the till, scanned so fast that I couldn?t pack quick enough. No wonder people prefer self service check out.
