Good food supplied by Beefy Boys & good beer with friends.Food & drinks: Nuthatch on tap which pleased the men in our group. Nice to see pub busy. Food was on catering van but allowed to eat inside the pub.

Favorite place of all. Been there several times through the last 30 years. An original place. Great location if you want to go fishing in the River Wye, or hiking or just explore the beautiful landscape. The staff is very kind and helpful and the food is excellent. Looking forward to our next stay.

Ordered our meal, it came, looked good, tasted awful. Greasy Arancini Beef, under toasted garlic bread which oozed oil when lifted up. Seabass looked lovely, but again tasted of nothing. The plate was dripping in grease and peas undercooked totally lacked flavour . So disappointing to say the least!! The lady behind the bar was accommodating thankfully.

Dont bother with the food - they just give you what they want - I paid £6 for 1 slice of bread with a little bit of pate ....shame as we went to try it out with a view to bringing the family - to quote the barmaid "nevermind"

Called for Sunday lunch after a riverside walk. Ideal.Nearby activities: Historic place in historic location. Must for Kilvert fans. Arthur's Stone nearby, up very steep hill essential place to visit and take in.Walkability: We walked there from across the river via the church, and back.Noteworthy details: Panelled rooms, nice food and beer. Genuine.

Not been here for many years but after seeing Facebook we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The food was exceptional, the welcome was warm and more importantly, we were not rushed. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and we will definitely go again.

Nice old fashioned pub with great local beers. Large beer garden with friendly and helpful staff. Had a very enjoyable lunchtime in the garden and enjoyed the food as well as the beer. Plenty of space to park tandems. A short stroll takes you to the river, which is lovely.
