What can I say about majestic wine.
A friend of mine asked me to accompany him to this establishment to help pick a nice bottle of wine out for our closet friend today. I recommended going here because previously I had a pleasant experience by a rugged man with a beard who gave me wine to taste and explained it to me and offered me crisps as I was trying this. Even printed of a sheet of paper with an explanation and history of the wine. This was a 10/10 experience hence me recomding it to him.
However on this occasion we was served by a man called Gavin.
Gavin was not what we expected upon asking him his recommendations he acted like we was bothering him for doing his job. When we politely asked where the rosé was he just rolled his eyes and pointed. The most pleasant thing about Gavin was leaving and knowing we would never see him again. Not to mention when we asked if we could try some wine he said that nothing was opened.
I understand that he might?ve been busy but we were the only two on this store.
Unfortunately on this occasion I wouldn?t recommend going here. But would highly suggest the manager of this establishment re-trains Gavin because people skills should certainly be taken off of his CV.

Been in here twice now in the last couple of weeks. The range is extensive and the service is great. Special shout out to Ben the French guy, he really knows his stuff, polite, chatty and very helpful. Will be back buying more wine shortly.Only downside is the car park, very tight to get in and if you do get in and it's gets filled up, it is very much a squeeze to get out.

Friendly knowledgeable staff who suggested alternatives for different occasions and wines at good prices. Good selection of tasters and we were not pressed at all but staff available for questions. Wonderful selection of gins too! Rather an awkward turn in off the A49 just after a complicated roundabout.
