You discovered the source of the persistent maintenance light fault that the two other service garages had failed to fix. Aaron and Jason looked after me today - Monday the 4th of March 2024 with regards to a major car service on my 2021 Reg. VOLVO XC40. The guys and their garage were recommended to me by my work colleagues. I have never heard of them before but thought I'd give them a go as VOLVO Listers are absolutely extortionate with their prices. I was greeted by Jason's friendly face, then I met Aaron who worked on my car. I can only say these guys were superb and looked after me so well that I now will never go anywhere else but Hereford VOLVO Specialist. Thank you for being so helpful and polite and honestly genuine. Quite surprised by the reviews of this business. Can only assume mostly left by people who know nothing about cars and have plenty cash. My friend left his car here for an appraisal having had a disastrous MOT locally to us. The rear brakes were seized and the car had other issues. HVS quoted £4500 to rectify a whole bunch of stuff - much of which was blatant lies.They said one of the rear tyres needed replacing as worn to canvas on the inner edge. Not true. They then missed the fact that the NSR shock absorber was no longer attached in the top mount (sheared off). They also said that it needed new pads and discs all round, also completely not true or necessary.I collected the car and changed the rear caliper and pads then my friend (a professional mechanic) did various work to front suspension and a service. Total cost = £650. Car now immaculate again. So this knowledge saved my friend a modest £3850.Think very carefully before believing anything they say and be fairly sure that you're being dramatically over charged.I have 2 V50s and they will never ever go to this place for service!!

HVS have been servicing my Volvos for nearly a decade and now keep my two elderly vehicles (one 20 years old and one 12) safe, sound and running ? both cars storm easily through MOTs and the team are very responsive if I have any problems. Without their expertise, skills and honest advice, no doubt both vehicles would have long gone and, when the time comes to change, that whatever the car marque, it?ll only be the HVS team providing the regular maintenance services for the replacements in the future. I highly rate and recommend them in every respect.

HVS are excellent!I have used HVS multiple times now and every time they offer exceptional service, the front desk is always very personable and friendly. The work completed is also always carried out at the highest standard. I would recommend anyone to use them, and have done so more than once!Recently some big work was done, timing chain being part of it and the price was very reasonable.Overall 5/5 experience.Services: Electrical repair

Absolute rip off artists. Booked my car in for a 2 hr service and it needed some problems fixed. After 1 hr, got charged £95 for a diagnostic and smoke test that takes about 20mins to do. And wanted another £180 for more ?problem finding?.So if you?re looking for poor service and an emptying wallet these should be your go to guys.

Excellent - it?s such a relief to talk with people who really know their stuff. Very helpful indeed, lower labour charges than the main dealers and, importantly, an honest opinion about the pros and cons of having work done.

My dad and I went to the garage to have our air conditioning system regassed. The team were very helpful and checked that everything was ok. They asked us to go back a couple of weeks later so they could check for leaks in the system. We will be doing this soon.
