I visited B&Q Hereford recently to find some self-adhesive cable clips. I approached a staff member for help but was simply told to ?look in aisle 44? while they continued chatting with a colleague. After being unable to find the item, I asked another staff member named Fiona for assistance.
Unfortunately, my experience with Fiona was extremely disappointing. From the moment I asked for help, she appeared irritated and reluctant to assist. Her product knowledge was very poor, and she seemed unsure of where to find the item. While we were walking toward another aisle, she suddenly stopped, looked at me, and falsely accused me of swearing at her?something I absolutely did not do. Without further explanation, she walked off and reported this fabricated incident over her headset.
I had also been considering purchasing a new kitchen and bathroom during this visit, but after this encounter, I?ve decided not to return. Fiona?s attitude was unprofessional and unacceptable, and the overall lack of helpful customer service has left a very poor impression.

Great help by staff each visit, they have knowledge and expertise in many areas, helped me get the right stuff and even price matched some better products. Thank you!!

Went into the Hereford store today with my mum to buy a shed and just wanted to leave a review as I had the most amazing customer service from Deb, she was so helpful and patient as it was not a straight forward purchase. Thank you.

Hereford B&Q were just amazing when we experienced problems with our flooring so close to Christmas.Special thanks to Hayley and Alex who could not be more friendly and helpful. New flooring purchased and problem resolved. Great customer service, thank you.

I called customer services because of a damaged kitchen unit door. They were completely useless and quite rude. Martin and Harry were gold star in Hereford B&Q. They sorted the problem and made me feel a very special customer. Thank you

This place could be run better. It had good stock and products. But lots of small irritating things made recent trip a pain. I did click and collect, but it would have been better not to. There was a big queue at collections and they were slow to address this. They gave me my large items on a trolley which had one stuck wheel so was impossible to manoeuvre. I tried to buy something that was in the sale and the self service but it came up full price. They were very slow to help. In the end, I didn't bother buying it. The redeeming feature of my whole trip was the incredibly lovely member of the public in a yellow t shirt in the carpark who was me struggling with my trolley and crossed the car park to help me, helped me lift my items into the car and returned my trolley - he really cheered me up after irritating issues in b and q. He was the highlight! Use Screwfix or Toolstation if you want efficient service.

Where others maybe wouldn't try Sarah pulled out all the stops to help us with our purchase of flooring planks. They were an end of line item and on the face of it there was only a single pack on the shop floor. Following investigation Sarah managed to locate some more on a pallet at the back of the store and (not even knowing whether we would return the next day) had them stacked on a trolley ready for us for when the store opened. Accordingly when we arrived at opening time we were able to be in and out of the store within five minutes all paid up. If everyone in a customer service environment was like Sarah the business of shopping would be a far more pleasurable experience - thank you so much !

I got asked for ID by a team leader at the till for a wallpaper cutter along with the paste paint filler etc, she admitted I looked over 25 ( I'm almost 40 with grey hairs lol) but on the basis I could be supplying it to my daughter, her name was Jo and clearly just wanted to stroke her ego , what a world we live in, luckily the store manager Shane stepped in with common sense and was a very pleasant man who de escalated it very quickly and I was on my way with all my goods to finish my living room, 1 star for Jo and 5 stars for Shane

Very helpful and friendly staff went above and beyond had message my click and collect items was ready arrived and item were not even collected but the very nice fella on the click and collect till rushed off and got them him self very helpful lady also helped load my mobility scooter with items can't fault them.

Shout out to the manager who permitted a return/replacement of a faulty SDS hammer drill I had bought and misplaced the receipt for during my house move. She won?t know it but she has made the thousands of pounds spent with B&Q feel somewhere validated?.especially as I have a future of purchasing materials ahead of us! I recognise no receipt makes things difficult to validate but with a real human taking a decision to inspect the product and understand another persons circumstances and being reasonable is undervalued in todays retail space.

Took me an hour to get a refund they owed me! The item I wanted was still on display but had no stock of this item at any store. Staff present did not know what they were doing, even a manager passed the buck to 6 other staff to sort out. Will not be going there again as they are very incompetent!
