Firstly, I have used & recommended Rice Chinese restaurant in Yateley for years & have always found the food to be of excellent quality accepting that the place has zero charisma. I went with a friend this week & was exceptionally disappointed with the quality of the food, the aromatic crispy peeking duck was abysmal, looked like it had been boiled & absolutely NO crispy bits; looked & tasted awful, when I queried this with the waitress serving she was completely uninterested in my complaint. Not wishing to marr my evening, I never ate any of it & moved on to the mains ordering sezuan beef and Kung Po king prawns, the beef was horrible & chewy, the prawns had a distinct unfresh taste, once again I mentioned this to the waitress, again she was unreceptive to my complaint. I ending up leaving virtually all of this, paid & left extremely disappointed.
I will not recommend or use them again, such a shame! I wanted to share this because it's not cheap & I expect a reasonable standard of food.

I ordered my meal from just eat, if you spent £20 it was a deal you got a free salt and pepper chicken. Food was delivered extremely quickly and was hot and delicious ? will be back again for sure and hope to visit for a restaurant experience soon.

We have had two great meals from rice before, unfortunately this time the crispy seaweed taste like it came out of grandma's cupboard so stale and the rest of the food was not great no effort in flavours unfortunately, such a shame.

Ordered online and arrived for collection only they had no idea of our order. Had to show them the email, and they still got the order wrong. Worst part was the food. Really bland and cold. All looked and tasted barely cooked. Rice had no soy sauce in it, duck was pink and covered in wobbly fat, the dough in the sweet and sour chicken balls was still wet and just about cooked. 6 pieces of duck in the dish and 10 mushrooms. Rice used to be brilliant a couple of years ago but really gone down hill. Won't be back.

New Year Debacle.
Oh dear. Booked on line at 11am for New Years Eve collection at 8pm. Food was finally available at 9.10pm. Up to 15 people arrived during this period and had the same experience. If you order online, pay on collection so you can cancel when the inevitable delay occurs.
It's a shame the food is not the subject of the review as that's quite good, but I won't be back for an event.

Very Poor food first time from this restaurant
Prawns had the shells on ?duck had all the wobbly fat on cashews nuts were burnt and black
Sweet & sour sauce tasted off
Noodles were over cooked
Pawn toast was nearly black
The crispy chicken was good that is why I gave one star

Cold. Bland. Thick Lumps of yellow fat in the duck curry, no spice. Pale greasy chips.
Noodles, rice and chicken balls were as expected

Told one hour delivery- called again after an hour and informed the food was out with their driver.
Phoned again after one and half hours-
?We?re busy and the food is out for delivery?
TWO hours passed and still no food !!!!
Called again, lied to again!
Food finally arrived 2 hours 10 minutes after original order!
No apology No honesty in their responses and an utter joke of a service!

I had the pleasure of dining at Rice Chinese, and it was truly an experience. The flavours were authentic, bold, and beautifully balanced. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece, from the perfectly seasoned Kung Po Chicken and fresh and flavourful Hot and Sour Soup. The presentation of the food was impeccable, and the portion sizes were generous.
The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure our dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of traditional and modern decoration. I?ll definitely be coming back to explore more of their extensive menu.
