Awfully service they are providing asking for payment up front before the day of our booking. Making us order our food whilst we're at home days before we turn up. Everyone should be able to read the menu whilst at the restaurant and choose what they want and not pay untill u have actually used there service.

Absolutely awful would definitely not eat here again, we chose to go here for Mother?s Day 2025 and I?ve just had a phone call after booking a table online a few days ago, they have now rang today asking me to put £5 deposit down for everyone? that?s going to be eating, & then to tell me I have to choose what we are all going to eat now so they can make sure we get that on the day, I?ve explained I have children so I couldn?t decide for them now, and she said that everyone has to order in advance & pay a deposit now before we can eat there, I?m sorry but I think this is disappointing when we should be able to order when we are present sat at table not well in advanced exp if you have children, this restaurant has gone really down hill the last couples of years I will definitely be staying away from here.

Bunch of noisy locals beer drinking loads in the bar area. ? shouting and swearing lots. Looked like a regular "after work". You come in for a light snack and a drink but end up with a bunch of loudmouth yobs disturbing everyone's peace and quiet with foul language.
Kid-friendliness: Not very. I would not take a kid there with that language to learned.

A nice and clean pub, modern and fresh. The vegan meatballs starter (and I'm not even vegan) were absolutely delicious.
I had a Katsu curry for main which wasn't really my favourite, it was lacking, served with rice and chips and the sauce was a bit strange-tasting so wouldn't order that again, would rather go for a lamb shank, steak or burger next time round.
Having said that, the prices are very reasonable compared to many places I've been and the service was great. Based on that, I can't fault it. The restroom was clean but freezing which was not a big deal as I was in and out. I wouldn't mind visiting again, all in all.
Dietary restrictions: They asked us whether we had any dietary restrictions or allergies upon entering and again when ordering, just to be sure. We had none but it is great that they take it seriously and are mindful of those that do have special dietary requirements.
Wheelchair accessibility: Might be a bit hard as the parking area is cobblestone, but I'm sure it's doable.

Food wasn't too bad, given the comparatively low price. The portions were generous and all the plates arrived at the same time, presented nicely. The only real criticism I had was that the steak looked like it had been beaten a bit too hard with the tenderiser and had an odd texture.
Service, whilst friendly, was incredibly slow. We were a table of three adults having one course and not drinking; this visit still took north of 90 minutes. The venue was clearly understaffed. I understand that the hospitality industry is suffering - like many - but if you can't afford to adequately staff your business then the customer experience suffers.
The venue itself was neat and clean, and I suspect on a good day it'd be a lovely place to have a meal. The frustration felt by the staff at having to rush and offer a compromised service was palpable, and negatively affected the experience. The staff did their best though, I don't blame them in the slightest.
Given the competition in the area, I can't recommend The Cricketers.

Sadly poor quality food. Microwaved, partly cold, portions missing. Really disappointed as was looking forward to trying.

Enjoyed a very good Sunday lunch last week with family. The childrens' meals were nicely presented & enjoyed by a 5yr old & a 12yr old.
Staff were very attentive & helpful & willing to compromise.
Parking: Road unmade so very stoney with pot holes.
