This was a great first visit, brought some friends and their dog and had a Sunday roast. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. It was a lovely setting too, so will definitely be returning.

Visited mid week and were almost universally disappointed with the prices charged for each dish, an average burger (no side), with chips for £20, an v small under cooked lamb for £32 (albeit that was returned and removed from the bill), and a small Dover sole for £32. Prices like this set high expectations, which the food fell short of. A bottle of SB white wine £46! (£16 in Waitrose) The corn ribs for £8 were good, and the service from Ben was v good. Unlikely to return soon.

Uninviting the girl behind the bar who served us needs to smile her attitude seemed like she was doing a chore instead of providing a service...a girl with braces and piercings was very welcoming if it wasn't for her we would have certainly left..thank u who ever she was! Very iver priced too!

What a superb pub & garden. Staff are tremendous. Great menu, great drinks. 4.2 stars at the time of writing is far too low.

Took the kids here after school on Friday to chill in the sunny garden. The drinks were expensive for what we ordered but the outdoor pizza oven was great as we had a couple of pizza's. The kids enjoyed the small play area as well. Oh and the live music was a nice touch. So, thank you for a lovely evening.

This is my 1st time visiting The White Horse. The food was absolutely beautiful and the cocktail I had was delicious. The staff were all very friendly, polite and very helpful. Megan our waitress was lovely, making sure we had everything we needed for our lunch. We sat and ate at the back of the bar, its was lovely sitting on the window seats. It was lovely and quiet, and peaceful. The best way to enjoy lunch.

Fallen from grace! What was once a great place was terrible. Staff were disrganised, and food was not worth it - had a better prawn cocktail in Little Chef for £12! Shocking.

Very overpriced for very average pub food with very bad service, forgot drink and had to get from bar ourselves, forgot starters then brought whilst we were eating mains, didn't ask if food was ok or offer any condiments, didn't clear plates, didn't offer dessert, didn't bring the bill. Gave up in the end paid and left , was still asked the insulting do you want to pay service ???

Visited here a couple of weeks ago for lunch, and we were highly impressed??..food wise we shared a platter selection, accompanied with the chipolatas, and an Asian salad, and it was just divine.
Our drinks were spot-on (local ale for me), and the service very welcoming. Have to also mention how accommodating they were, as my partner was on crutches following recent hip surgery, so a big thanks.
Would highly recommend visiting??
