A birthday celebration.
We have been to the Ivy in Bristol and loved the atmosphere so chose Winchester for a birthday celebration. Lovely food choices and excellent wines too. Good service and an excellent waiter.

First visit for a while. Ordered from the Heritage menu circa 1917 and had smoked haddock and salmon fishcake followed by a chicken Kerala curry. Both really tasty albeit the curry could have been a bit warmer (temperature not spice). Took advantage of half-priced cocktails, would recommend the pomelo based one. All in all a very pleasant way to spend a late afternoon.

Must admit, I wasn?t quite sure what to expect ? it?s in one of those rather upmarket areas where everyone seems to own a tiny dog and a large opinion. That said, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was quite excellent, service spot-on, and the atmosphere far more relaxed than I anticipated. All in all, a very enjoyable outing. Wouldn?t mind popping back, even if I don?t drive a Bentley.

A great location, friendly staff, delicious food. Love the deserts especially and I don't normally even bother that much. Superb. My wife had the karalan chicken curry in vegan form but didn't have the saffron and was charged more as it's not on the set menu although it's clearly the same sauce without chicken but cost more. Wouldnt mins but out children paid so was aware. Will definitely be returning.

Had a lovely experience, surprisingly busy for mid-week, recommend you pre-book. Service was absolutely excellent, couldn't fault it. Food was delicious, and presentation superb. My only criticism was that the cocktail I ordered was very underwhelming, mainly ice and a thimbleful of actual drink for £14 which was disappointing. Otherwise excellent and we would definitely come again.

Standards here never drop..
On this occasion we dined outside.
Perfect weather and surroundingd which enabled us to enjoy our breakfast.

Return visit to our favourite local restaurant.
Due to the various levels of lockdown we have not been here as often as we would have liked.
Evening visit.
Temperature check on arrival, plus sanitizer.
We were shown to our table, good spacing of tables, felt safe in respect of Covid 19.
Service and staff were first class as expected.
Excellent menu which should satisfy most, if not all customers.
Thoroughly recommended .

First visit to any restaurant since lockdown lifted
Booked a table in advance
Sanitiser at the entrance and body temperature measured .
Tables spacing , allow enough room for social distancing.
Tables and chairs were cleaned immediately when vacated. A sanitiser also available on each table
Before dining we were happy for our safety during covid -19 restrictions.
We arrived early and were able to have drinks at the bar while we had a very short wait for our table
This was a pleasant way to start our evening
There was a choice of menu, a la carte , vegetarian and vegan , and a set menu.
The restaurant is also taking part in the Government scheme , where a £10 per head reduction of the bill is available.( Mon to Wed)
The service and was excellent, all staff were very smartly dressed. On this occasion we choose to select from the a la carte menu.
Superb food well presented, our waiter was very informative .
An excellent evening which is comparable to some of the restaurants we have dined in France.
Thoroughly recommended, and we will definitely return .

We have been to a lot of Ivy restaurants and visited Winchester a number of times. The service was a bit slow and my main course was in large parts inedible. I pointed this out but it made no difference when the bill arrived.

A very nice place for a family gathering. Can be quite expensive, but you're paying for quantity food. It can be a little loud at some points however.
