I tend to shop at Marks and Spencer because it's only a short walk away. I shop for food mainly. However, I can't say the range of items is that great. There's too much salt, fat or sugar in a lot of what they sell. Even their salads contain quite a bit of salt. So I only buy a few things for the weekend. My main shop comes from OCADO - oops! Similar problem, but at least I don't have to carry it. ?

Fabulous city centre store. Food the highlight, especially for the lunch crowd, it makes places like pret look sparse and... expensive! Not a huge clothing section upstairs but they understand their place in the world... there's a huge selection of undies!!! For an inner city dweller, it is a treasure. Can walk in every day and buy what I need to eat. We have basically zero food waste because we simply buy what we need. Plus it is a nice walk every day.

Visited Winchester on Saturday June 14th, shopping. We called in M&S for food shopping and a meal. Before leaving a couple of us popped to the toilet.On arriving there was a queue of 8 waiting to use it. There was an old gentleman in a wheelchair who was in his 80s, and looked quite his wife who had been waiting for over 20 mins. There was one disabled cubicle that was closed because the lock was broken and just one other public cubicle for everyone. The old couple were told that the disabled one couldn't be used and they would have to wait. The young lad, who was about 18, couldn't be bothered. He took 3 toilet rolls into the toilet, knowing that people were waiting, then locked the door without saying a word abd stayed in there for at least 15mins.It was only when I banged the door did he finally came out.
It's not a great way to run a reputable store! I was really surprised there was no supervisor or manager to talk to

I had bought a jacket which ended up having a faulty zip. It was exchanged for me with no problem at all by very helpful & professional staff. Thank you M & S Winchester!!

Staff curious and nothing is too much trouble if I can't find what I want in the store they look it up on their machines order it and a few days later I pick it up .Absolutely great.

I appreciate the space constraints. But the complete lack of veggie options in the Gastro Pub meal range is poor. M&S Winchester used to do an excellent Aubergine meal but I?ve not seen it for months. 10+ non vegetarian options with nothing for veggies is really not acceptable

Well laid out store and had a good selection of items. Staff seemed very busy, but still helped out when asked for help. Great selection of fresh food and bakery items. Upstairs, the clothes section was good and easy to navigate. I think more tills are needed especially in busy times when the Christmas market is on as the queue was pretty long.
