Came down to Winchester for a long weekend and had forgotten my contact lenses. I turned up without any appointment and they sorted me out without any fuss or bother, despite the fact that I was not a customer of theirs. Great service and staff.

I was very impressed by the professionalism and thoroughness of the two opticians I saw at the Winchester branch. I had a contact lens, glasses and eye check-ups. I was also impressed by the explanations given to me about the state of my eyes.

Initial eye test was good. But when I turned up for a follow on appointment to chose glasses and lens they made no attempt to explain what the different options were and the differences between them. As a first time wearer this was important to me. In addition when I turned up for my timed appointment there was another customer who randomly walked into the shop and was with the dispensing option a good 20 mins into my appointment time. I ended just leaving as they clearly were bothered about keeping to their agreed schedule.

We (my wife and I) recently had our eyes tested at Leightons and subsequently purchased new glasses and sunglasses.I had my eyes tested by Elise who was very pleasant, thorough, professional and answered all of my questions.We both then went on to choose and order our glasses, this was handled extremely well by Jessica Milton-Lawrence who showed us the different styles and options available.I would not hesitate to recommend Leightons in Winchester, they are a really professional team located there.

Been using them as the only ones around accepting EyeCare vouchers. They are nice and clean and do a great job. Eye test is thorough and help with filling prescription doesn't try to oversell. This time I had new pair of intermediates for work (desk distance) and reglazzed my Silhoutte titanium sunglasses and Flexons. (It's not worth doing this for cheaper frames as lenses plus fee is more than new glasses but these are really good frames, the sun glasses I've had since 1996.)It would be nice to be able to visit without appointment just to able to look see for additional glasses. Appointments are needed for tests and benefit for fittings but latter could be a bit more flexible ideally.
