Our first time here, and it won?t be our last. The food, and service, was absolutely fantastic.

Visited on a Saturday night. The food was ok, not the best curry I?ve had. Was looking forward to trying some unique dishes. The Narangi Batakh was disappointing as the duck was quite tough and the sauce was not ?korma? as suggested. The Fish Malabar sea bass was also a bit overcooked so that wasn?t great. There was also confusion with what we ordered - we were told they were out of sea bass so we ordered another dish but then they brought the sea bass curry anyway.
Also the chicken pakoras were not what I was expecting as they were just chicken chunks in a breaded coating like chicken nuggets.
Anyway, the Goan Chicken and Assam Lamb dishes were nice and the Onion Bhajis were delicious.
The service was ok, the waiter seemed a bit fed up and the atmosphere was dead. We were seated upstairs by ourselves with no music and just people walking in and out to find the bathroom?
Probably won?t go back.

This restaurant is in an historic building in the village centre. It has been laid out so each table has a feeling of being fairly private and there are a couple of areas, including the upstairs dining room, that can cater for larger groups without them impacting on couples dining.
My partner chose a biriyani while I opted for a Goan fish curry. Both were really nicely prepared and presented. The complementary Papadoms and pickles while we browsed the extensive menu were welcome but we were left a bit too long before our order was taken, and it seemed as if the waiter was not familiar with the areas of the menu we had chosen to explore. Fortunately, the chef was! The food was really good and there was no problem about taking away the remains for the next day.
This restaurant has great atmosphere and good food. I would recommend it.
Parking: The restaurant is in the village centre with plenty of free parking after 5pm.

Been here so many times. Always friendly and good service. Great meal and nice air conditioning which was much needed in today's summer weather.

Last year 2023 we had a great meal here with a superb atmosphere? this year we booked again tas we are on the ferry tomorrow? rude and obnoxious. Then left us sitting for 20 mins while other people came in and were served straight away. You have lost our custom. How a place crashes in a year. Ah well, some other place will get our money? and charged us over the top for 2 drinks? disgraceful

I honestly can't fault this place. After being let down by a hotel we needed somewhere to eat. We randomly come across this little gem. The food was perfect the service was amazing. Me and my family will most definitely will be returning ?

DisappointedMay 2024 ? FamilyAppalled by the £35 service charge that we were not made aware of . Party of seven celebrating a birthday . We were put upstairs where we dined alone. Gave Veranda a chance to resolve this matter but they have not responded .

Ordered chilli fried squid but received them unfried, they were also luke warm and oily. Didn't smell great either. The Kashmiri was bland, and also fairly cold and oily. Unfortunately Veranda is on a par with Kutis. Also expensive for the quality of food.
