I have been with Vision Express for around 8 years, customer service has become disgusting in this Whiteley Branch in recent years and it is always understaffed which probably goes hand in hand with miserable members of staff. I am now looking to move to a new company after a rude telephone call I had with someone in the branch yesterday. It?s time Vision Express head office started keeping an eye on this branch and the service being given!

The most awful, rude, horrible, miserable staff today picking up my glasses. No customer service at all. Ignored. Stared at. No hello, how can I help, nothing. No smile. Blond Assistant picked up phone that just started ringing with me stood in front of her when she did eventually came to the desk. Treated like an inconvenience from arrival to when I left. Apparently these assistants were called Jenna and Chrissy and actually told me not to be rude when I asked why No Hello, No Good afternoon when your customers walk in. No check on my lenses at all by the dark haired assistant. Just told to shake my head and was told they are fine Goodbye. Asked to be served by a Manager/Supervisor and was told they were both Managers...Shocking!! On choosing my glasses in December had excellent service from a man (who had run marathons for charity after some health problems himself) and also from a young dark haired assistant called Tinnia (or similar) These two assistants today let your whole team down and ruined the enjoyment of picking up my new glasses. Just awful.

Had an eye test booked for Tuesday 02/01/24.Arrived at the Whitely Vision Express.Staff were too busy chatting between themselves and ignoring customers.Finally someone took my details.Then I was told my appointment for 11.10 had been cancelled. What a rubbish and unprofessional service.Should have gone to Specsavers.I literally walked up to Specsavers and got an appointment straight away.Shame on you Vision Express.Specsavers are so much better.Will never use your rubbish service again.Avoid at all costs.

Fitted for contact lens in September. I was still waiting to get them fitted 7 weeks later. Despite chasing 3 weeks ago and getting referred to Southampton practice I?ve heard nothing. still waiting. Really disappointed and now having to start whole process including new eye examination at my own cost with another optician.

Had an examination on Friday, where the optician noted some issues with my current prescription, not helped by me wearing the contact lenses in the wrong eyes (!). So she undertook a meticulously detailed test to ensure my eye health was good and prescription correct.She is without doubt the most professional optician I have come across in 42 years of wearing lenses.Sincerely grateful to her and feel confident my eye health is in good hands. 5+ stars.

A great experience from start to finish! From the moment you walk in you are made to feel welcome. The staff were courteous and very attentive. The optician, Jasmin, was very thorough and took time to answer any questions I had about my vision. Would highly recommend!

Very disappointing. Booked first eye test for my 5 year old. Late?s appointment available was 3:40. Pick her up from school, driven quickly as we can to make on time. Due to some traffic problems on motorway I rang the shop to apologise and inform them we will possibly arrive little late. Manage to get to Vision Express 6 min late just to be told that my daughter appointment has been now cancelled because we are late?. If we arrive 5 min late she could be seen but 6 min i unacceptable. Extremely unreasonable in my opinion. What a great way to encourage children visit optician. I strongly believe if that would be adult appointment with potentially £450 to spend in shop it would be acceptable being little late. Definitely won?t be coming back there for my examination and new glasses.

Not great experience, I asked them to order urgent glasses for my daughter as she lost her one and she needs it for her exam , they said will do it fast track, but after i paid , it turned up 10 days to deliver itAlso my daughter should get NHS discount but they did not offer me that deal I had to pay full price , did not advise on that , so I went to Rawlings optician in Hedgend they were so helpful I paid nothing compared to Vision express plus they delivered it next day for fast track ... never go back to them again , also to mention I asked them to have the prescription to send me a copy via email but I had to begged them called them 3 times for sending it , so bad service if you need a good service affordable price, go to Rawlings Optician

Lovely open space, waited for a while at the desk for someone to say go sit down. The man that done my eye test was lovely and so was the lady that helped me choose glasses and sort the payment. They forgot to do extra screening thing I had booked so had that done after choosing glasses. It wasn?t explained to me properly what my glasses were for and when to wear them despite asking what it meant on my prescription. I got very confused at the desk when it came to paying but the lady was lovely, it probably was more my fault struggling to understand being on the spectrum. I?m still unsure whether I?ve ordered anti glare or not as they said a few different things and then said would you like that or not and said a price which I didn?t understand if it was just to add the anti glare and something else or not so just said no in the end. I was getting all flustered with confusion after asking what they were all for and still not knowing if I needed it or not. There was a lady in the background that kept saying quite loud that we are closed now, so I felt a little rushed, I didn?t know what time they closed I just booked my eye appointment and was there sorting my new glasses after. I felt awful but also didn?t understand why they offer appointments at that time if they were closing.

Waited shop and sorry to keep me waiting for Eye test then told I'm 10mins late, I've been waiting 10 minutes, so didn't get Eye test. Not going back there.

Amazing kindness and after care following my partial macula hole diagnosis. The optician, Saleh and the whole team have supported me with thorough scans, tests, explanations and letters to hospital eye specialists and GP. This demonstrates the importance of regular eye tests.

Super opticians, thoroughly recommend especially for children. It took my son about 6 or 7 appointments to get his lenses in and the staff were so patient. 10/10

Sat on my glasses and broke the frame. Went in and 15 mins later frame replaced. No appointment. Frame was luckily in stock. No charge for fitting - just for the replacement frame. Saved my day.
