Max had the chicken veg and gravy with an extra sausage, all served in a massive bowl, he wolfed it down and slept all night.

We went in a group of 10 with 4 dogs and they were really accommodating. Nice and clean with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are amazing the lad who served us was amazing! The food was well done, filling and good value. It isn't gourmet but good quality pub grub.

Booked a table for 12pm, pub said online and on the door it opened at 11am so we turnt up 11.45am to closed doors. Could see staff inside, so we knocked on the door and the 2 members of staff that saw us looked at us and walked out the back!!

Had a lovely evening in the Red Rover with family. Food was delicious- good choice for meat eaters and vegetarians. Good choice for kids menu with colouring available.
Service was great - Luke was very friendly. Plenty of comfortable seating. Able to use blue light discount which was a bonus. Will definitely return.

Myself husband and daughter visited here today 25/08/25 we found that only 2 staff members max and Luke and one chef was working this is a disgrace (especially being bank holiday) of the management however these three staff members didn?t falter on customer service food well done guys

I would like to thank Sinead, Luke and the rest of the team. Despite the Daily pressures of running a bar/restaurant, they always make us feel really welcome. There is always a great atmosphere, and the food is really good. I would highly recommend anyone in the area should stop and enjoy what they have to offer, Ronnie!

Visited to meet with friends and as a Green king thought it would be a god place to get together for a meal. Meet by the assistant manager and shown to table. Drink order came quickly but food order did take quite a while to arrive but food was really good but then had to wait ages for plates to be cleared away. Asked for dessert menus and ordered that's when it went down hill, one out of 4 arrived, no sign of other 3, caught a member of staff to ask about other 3 were told the waitress was making them. A few minutes later another 2 arrived followed shortly afterwards by the 4th but again food was good. Decided to go to bar to pay as didn't know how long we might have to wait for the bill. Staff were friendly but service was a little slow but food was good but this would not put us off returning.

Red Rover!
More like Red Flag!
A positive was that there was plenty of space to park... But that should have been a sign to be honest.
Menus were filthy. Three menus later we moved tables, as an example of the menu was split down the wall in the form of food and drink.
The second table was by the window and wasn't great either as all the dead flies seem to gather there!
The roast turkey which we had ordered did come out very quickly though, but as the place was quite empty (Sunday at 3pm!?) seemed a bit worrying.
The roast turkey resembled the sort of turkey you would buy for your sandwiches from the vacuum sealed packaging at your local supermarket and was quite tasteless, limp and watery!
(Maybe the flies had died from malnutrition!... They should have checked out that wall on the last table perhaps?!)
Veg was ok though.
After complaining the waitress seemed to be a bit embarrassed and did reduce the bill. All said our server (Emma) was good.

Lots of choice of food.
Food was ok for what you pay.
Lots of wasps inside and out I know they can?t help this but I wouldn?t feel comfortable bringing the kids.

Wow just wow, yet again the food and the service at the Red Rover was excellent, highly recommend popping in when nearby ?
Every time we come in we?re greet by the friendly staff who do whatever they can to make our visit memorable.
They have a great selection of food and drinks and it?s definitely worth every penny. Thank you once again for making our visit we will definitely be back
