Stayed here for the night before an early morning ferry to Caen, just a short drive to the port, plenty of parking, nice and quiet and a lovely evening meal at the Red lion pub

great service, however the room smelt of ?from recently cleaned drains, however they offered to change the room which was good of them, the red lion food is terrible, don?t go there for dinner, and all the other pubs nearby stop doing food early, not much choice of food. stayed for goodwood, good location for that

Always stop here on the way back from Spain as it?s just a short drive from the port.
Always get a lovely warm welcome from the reception desk, the rooms are always clean and ready for us on our arrival. Very comfortable ?

I've been staying here every year for over 10 years now as it's handy for where I need to be.
Horndean itself is quiet but has ample facilities for my needs.
Handy for the coast as well.

I?m honestly quite disappointed with how the situation was handled at the front desk. The woman we spoke to was far from welcoming and made it unnecessarily difficult by saying a 17-year-old couldn?t stay in a family room or even have breakfast unless we booked an entirely separate room. So, we went ahead and booked another room just to comply?only to find out that instead of the family room we originally requested, we were given two double bed rooms. It felt like we were being talked down to rather than helped, and the whole experience left a bad impression.

Rooms are spacious and exactly what's needed, only downside is water pressure for shower is a bit low.

Room was fine. Mattress very comfortable so slept well. Cleanliness was top rate, good quality furnishings and bathroom fittings. Nice and quiet location, room had good temperature controls. Great value for the price we paid.
Could improve: toilet paper is cheap and nasty (why can't you have rolls - yes I know some people nick them), loo seats need replacing from the looks of two in the rooms we had, TV controls need checking for batteries.

Had a last minute stay here due to unforseen circumstances, And booked for the wrong day. Receptionist Stuart done everything he possibly could to ensure we had a room. I highly recommend this place. Staff are very friendly and helpful. And rooms are very neat and clean.

Lovely hotel. Standard and practical. Clean and comfy. Good handheld shower ?, which, in my opinion, is better than a fixed shower ?. We stayed one night. Having visited the Southampton Boatshow and planning a day at gunwharf quays the following day. Found a nice wetherspons a short drive away for evening meal. We chose not to eat at hotel as we prefer exploring local places.

Handy place to stay, not so cheap and cheerful and not value for money. Advertise Premier Inn Portsmouth but nowhere near Portsmouth!!! It's in Horndean !!!!

Stayed here night before we got a boat from Portsmouth, save the nasty battle against the M25 or central London on a Monday morning.
Superb location, just off the A3M, pub restaurant next door, couple of other pub and food options within a few mins walk, supermarket 5 mins drive away, everything you could need.
Massive car park.
Depending what side of the hotel you park there is a lift upto reception, otherwise you're on the level.
Really warm welcome from Megan, who answered all my questions and sorted out a little issue quickly.
Really nice room as you'd expect from Premier Inn, air con worked well with opening window as well, clean room, no faults found.
Would definitely stay again if down that way.
