I needed an exterior bulb changing on my vehicle. It was pouring with rain and the gazebo outside Halfords was taken up by another vehicle. I entered the shop and was assisted immediately. A gentleman came out and changed the bulb for me. He was extremely pleasant, polite and efficient, despite getting soaking wet! I cannot rate the service highly enough.

No customer service at all.My complaint in respect to :-Return of a product, that was in the ? Sale? items, but charged full price for.Unreal response to paying full price.A manager stated that the item in the ?Sale? section had been put in that section by customers who decided they didn?t want that product.Strange that the ticket which named the product and sale price, matched the product I had purchase, and, there were other bottles of this product, neatly lined up behind it. When I was told ? No, this isn?t the product that is reduced by price? and if I wanted to talk to a manager, I had to walk to the bottom of the store and wait. Eventually, I decided to return the item and get a refund and felt that being treated as I had been, I just couldn?t be bothered to waste my time any longer.As I write this, I would say, that Halfords customers must be very polite, and leave ALL unwanted items, in a straight line, behind each other and behind a ticked that named the product correctly.Poor service, poor communication skills and putting the customer down.

Bike repair was good. However when I went to settle my bill at the front desk at around 8.20 on 27 July the young woman and man displayed dreadful customer service. They were downright rude and I had to say to them at one point that they were not listening to me. Honestly a dreadful experience. How can their attitude be so bad?

Waited ages (18 mins) before anyone actually attended to us. Was told "someone was coming" and they arrived with another customer who was served first! Was on the point of walking out! One staff member riding a scooter, one on a mobile phone - I jest not!HOWEVER, we were then served by John who helped us choose an ebike for my partner together with accessories. Explained everything, gave opinions and suggestions which ending in a purchase in excess of £600. Thank you John! John gets 5 stars but the waiting means Halfords only get 3

Visted Halfords at Waterlooville on 14 July. Told them my battery was going flat despite fully charging at home. They tested the battery within ten minutes and diagnosed the stop/start battery as dead because of too many short trips and low annual mileage. New battery fitted within 30 minutes and car's CPU re-set as required. John and Andy who looked after me were brilliant: knowledgeable, polite and responsive to all my questions. Andy also got me to join Halfords Auto Club in order to save battery fitting charges, 5% off my bill and a free MOT when mine becomes due. Given that I was going away for the weekend, Andy and John's service couldn't have been more timely. Thank you.

Unfortunately a poor experience. The bicycle I purchased was not assembled with the care I might have reasonably expected. The 8 speed hub gear was not correctly adjusted causing the gears to slip and grind and the mudguards were badly fitted and rattled and a support bracket on the rear mudguard was missing altogether. I have personally had to rectify these shortcomings and have had to correct several torque settings on securing bolts/screws.

Absolutely over the moon with the service I received today, talked me through my new bike and accessories, fitted all accessories for me too, gave me tips about the bike. Super impressed on how fast it was ordered, made and I was able to collect it today! And was able to ride it away! 8 days early! Absolutely brilliant. Thanks so much.

Extremely Dissatisfied with Halfords - Appalling Customer Service and Disregard for Customer Well-beingI am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with Halfords. My recent experience with their company has been nothing short of a nightmare, leaving me feeling depressed and upset. As a loyal customer for over 40 years, I expected much better from a company that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction.First and foremost, I purchased a bike from Halfords that turned out to be plagued with issues from the start. Not only did the product fail to meet basic quality standards, but the after-sales service provided was abysmal. When I reached out to their customer service department for assistance, I was met with a shocking lack of knowledge and understanding. It was clear that the representatives I dealt with were ill-equipped to address even the most basic inquiries or concerns.The level of ignorance and rudeness displayed by the customer service team was simply unacceptable. Instead of showing empathy and attempting to find a resolution, they exhibited a dismissive and indifferent attitude towards my problems. This complete disregard for my concerns only worsened my mental state, exacerbating the distress caused by the faulty bike I had purchased.In my desperation for a solution, I decided to follow the proper complaints procedure outlined by Halfords. However, to my dismay, this process proved to be just as useless as the uneducated individuals I encountered at the store. The company's failure to address my legitimate complaints and their lack of duty of care toward their customers further demonstrated their sheer incompetence and disregard for customer well-being.It is disheartening to realize that a company with such a long history in the industry can exhibit such a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and mental health. Halfords' failures in product quality, customer service, and complaint resolution have left me questioning the integrity and professionalism of their entire operation.I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before considering any business with Halfords. Based on my personal experience, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of seeking alternative options where your needs as a consumer will be respected and your mental well-being protected.

I have used Halfords Waterlooville on quite a few times either to pick up an on line order or to purchase directly from store.The staff have changed since my first visit (many moons ago) to my most recent visit and they have always been polite and helpful.Great service all round.Thank You

Honestly how does this store get good reviews.Just popped in for a bike for my son, no one around, AGAIN.Initially when we went in there was an old guy behind the desk, a minute later someone came in for a part, while helping him he kept looking at us while we tried to work out what size would be right since nothing labeled properly. Ended up going on halfords website and comparing the tiny sticker on the frame somewhere of size in inches to XS/S/M etc to get an idea of what he needs now. Once that customer was done he looked at us then walked off and never came back. 20 mins later we left after trying to sit on bikes ourselves with all the hassle as they are all chained up to alarms with wires everywhere so it's really hard to get on, if at all. Can only assume a lot are stolen as no one around.Last few years we've bought about 6 bikes from here including some electric ones. Thinking about it, even then no one around to help then so I had to order electric ones online. At least when I go in for car batteries, paint, inner tubes, tyres, cleaning stuff and so on I just have to find someone to manage the till, yeah that's always an effort. Think my highest spend in here once was about £3k.Not anymore I'm DONE with Halfords.Just ordered 2 tyres and 2 inner tubes off amazon for my sons old electric bike to sell it on ebay. His other bike is like new which he was going to trade in so that can go on ebay too.Funny my son showed me you can by direct from manufacturers online, currently on Marin's website, never heard of them but my son rates them. Who knew ? problem solved. Just buy from the manufacturer or amazon, never need to go back thank God.

Have aways used halfords advanced tools was a bit disappointed with the service yesterday afternoon had 3 broken ratchets and some uv joints first guy that served me said he normally works in the bike section said without a receipt I couldn't get new ones and said how do I know you haven't brought them off market place and trying it on . At this point I was a bit ofended. Then the manager came down replced the broken tools and sent me on my way.I think it was a case of staff not knowing how to deal with customer in the correct mannerApart from that have normally get good service with getting tools replaced and no problem in the past and would recommend there advanced range

Ordered items on-line for a 1 hr pick up- I arrived early. Stated I was happy to wait or pick the order myself. This was unnecessary- items produced quickly by staff.However what was also unnecessary was then being ?told? directly to wait the hour next time as staff were busy, by the checkout person. Mixed approach to customer service here?

I use this store a reasonable amount and the store is well stocked and the staff normally couldn?t be more helpful. Today I was confronted by Tilly, who was on the till, I can only describe her as a Jekel and Hyde personality! I purchased an item and immediately asked to return it, my error, well the face! The attitude the tone it was as though the world had ended and now she actually had to do some work, she became rude, argumentative and generally a shining example of how not to treat the public, topped off by her asking me to put the item back on the shelve ?. Without even a please ?. Manners and politeness clearly lost Tilly. Top hire Halfords !
