Impromptu stop for lunch, party of 7. Needed gluten free (there?s always one), excellent fish and chips. The chef makes his own batter. Great portion sizes. We were very well hosted. Ask about the well in the cellar. Fascinating! We?ll be back.

Popped in for a little drink and got persuaded to try some food and wow!! The BEST burger I've ever had! And the homemade burger sauce was stunning. The thickest juicest burger accompanied with the perfect amount of fries and the tastiest onion rings have just scored themselves regulars! Took my parents there tonight. Really fabulous food, great service, and friendly staff. Well worth a visit. We will be returning.

I think this pub gives really good value for money. We had a family gathering with people coming from the West Country and Hertfordshire. They were very accommodating, including catering for the dog and energetic kids.
The only shame was a number of first choices from the menu weren't available, but they explained they had an unexpected run on food, and I certainly don't begrudge them benefiting from the extra business.

First visit to this pub about 2 weeks ago as had never been before the food was outstanding also lovley friendly bar staff chris is a brilliant host his service has been next level ..the girls amy Sophie ella lissy are really lovley bubbley girls ..nice to see it has been taken over by someone who has enthusiasm and drive ??????

We went saturday evening, staff very friendly and just seemed pleased to see us. New landlord has a very friendly attitude and nothing is too much trouble. The chef can obviously cook a Steak, it was so good as were the chips. The dogs loved the garden. All in all just a really nice relaxed evening. I really hope this place does well and we will continue to support it. Thankd guys.

Jave been here before, but the new land lord has completely turned the place around. Food is incredible, friendly atmosphere, dog friendly. Will be our new regular after just 1 visit

we visited here mid week for dinner. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The food was delicious. The steak was done to perfection. I chose a desert that I had not had before being the dubai pistachio chocolate cheese cake and it did not disappoint.... wow! Reasonable prices, lovely garden and indoor decor and clean. Will certainly be returning.
