Been here a few times over the years.
Always friendly staff and customers. Just about clean enough toilets (men?s) could do with some updating. Not a fantastic choice of draught largers for me. Average prices for the local area. Didn?t have any food. But the nice staff and atmosphere makes up for any short comings.

I got to have the best party thanks to the golden eagle hosting it, all the staff are so lovely and enjoyable to talk to, a very friendly bar, especially Tia and Amber who helped us on Saturday night with the party they were angels! I couldn?t stop thanking them for being so nice. Also the prices of drinks is amazing!

Popped in for a lunchtime drink with an old friend. Hadn't planned to go to the Golden Eagle but really glad we did. Great little? (Bigger than it looks from the outside). in the heart of Southsea. Very nice interior, good selection of beer and Dog friendly as well. Will Def be back. Recommended

Wow. That was unexpected and utterly brilliant. Went along to the Wednesday night folk club at the Golden Eagle. Grass roots music at its very best. Some wonderful musicians singing an eclectic mix of music.

We had a birthday party here it's a lovely little pub, the staff are really friendly it's such a quaint little pub, but it's a real old pub a classic not many of these left, I love pubs like this, the service was fantastic ? I will definitely come back here
