Went for Sunday Lunch, lt was was absolutely lovely. Lots of fresh vegetables beautifully cooked lamb, the made from scratch gravy added even extra flavour

Cannot recommend the lovely ladies at Alice and Ivy more! Have only had the facial treatments with Emma so far, which are absolutely wonderful and always leave my skin feeling glowy and lovely!

We had a lovely lunch. 5 small plates for £40 between two of us. Perfect and delicious. I haven't written a review for quite a while but it's such a good place with great service I felt I should. We will being going there again soon

I booked The Marmion for a group of us (14) meeting to have an early supper before going on to The Kings Theatre. From start to finish the whole experience was top notch! We took advantage of the early evening special deal of 5 small dishes (tapas) which all turned out to be excellent - everyone was very happy with the quality and quantity (5 being ample for 2), the service was swift and attentive. I am aware we were there at a quiet time and had a special deal on the food and wine, but this place deserves to be very successful, if they continue doing what they do now!

A very beautiful shop with lots of lovely products ! I needed some help to find a moisturiser & was so pleased with how friendly & happy to help the staff were ! I purchased the most wonderful moisturiser which I will definitely be going back to get time & time again! Very much recommend ?? - Also it smells wonderful! (in the shop & the moisturiser! )

Omg these roast dinners were amazing. Home made Yorkshire pudding was perfect, I had roast chicken my husband roast beef he's meat was so tender and my chicken was cooked perfect. The home made roast potatoes were lush.it came with cauliflower cheese peas,carrots and green beans gravy So much on the plate .will definitely be going back compliments to the chef . The pub is spotless staff were great. Loved the bulldog that lives there .

We have been to the Marmion many times and have always enjoyed their roast dinners. But when we went there on Sunday we were so disappointed. The standard has really slipped. The veg was over boiled, mushy and under-seasoned. My companion's beef was too thickly carved and full of fat and sinew. When we raised this with the chef he was really dismissive and said he thought it was fine. It really wasn't at all. Complete waste of money and a real shame. Other diners also said they were unhappy with their roast. We won't go back.

Went to the Marmion today for a Sunday roast as have been here before and was always good. was slightly concerned when the place was half empty and all the plates on the tables were half eaten. roasts arrived after 10 minutes all the veg was overcooked and slimy and not seasoned, there was a large amount of beef that looked good but it was full of sinew and i struggled to cut it. To then end up with a mouth full of chewy meat that i could not eat. when i complained to the manager he said the issue was my taste and not the meal we both left our meals half eaten and left. other diners were also not happy with there meals whilst we were there.
