Big Waitrose with a good range, friendly staff and lots of free parking. They also have a good amount of self checkouts too allow you to pop in and get on with your day. Can?t say fairer than that

Not really a cafe now, more just another coffee shop.
I've always liked dropping in at the cafe for a black coffee with an egg n bacon roll, both being excellent.
I've not been for a bit and was very disappointed that they don't do, cook in the kitchen, food now, pick it of a shelf and heat it up ?.
Bacon roll in a plastic bag, and no fried egg, good grief what are they thinking?
I go to the cafe because of the cheery "old dears" serving and hand making a good quality E&B roll, but no more. I had to settle for just my coffee.
Note. As I sat drinking that, I noticed that around me, where there used to be a plethora of people, mainly old guys, munching on cooked food of some description, there were only doing drinks.
I'll come back, maybe in a month, and see if they've seen the error of their ways and gone back to flipping eggs on the griddle.
If I had wanted plastic food I'd have gone across the way to Costa tbh.
So I got a reply to my review, and tbh I won't bother to return as it's obviously going down the "clone a Costa" type coffee shop route. A supermarket café s main selling point to me is, serving the food they sell, not ship it in from a "home made by robots" retailer.
As I said, nobody was eating anything at the time of my visit.

This is a good shop, in fact the main (biggest) shop within the Locks Heath shopping centre.
They offer a good selection of groceries etc, but as this is Waitrose they are not the cheapest grocer on the block.

The car park associated with this Waitrose are a bunch of money grabbing scoundrels.
It makes me not want to shop at waitrose ever again.
